The Anniversary Attic

An online treasure trove of vintage, handmade & quirky wedding anniversary gifts & cards.

The Anniversary Attic was started following the success of my handmade wedding anniversary cards in my other Etsy shop - www.polesapartlydia.etsy.com. I began making these following a few fails trying to find my husband a suitable gift for our iron and steel anniversaries! Working from home enabled me to dedicate more time to this and sales really took off in 2020. The intention behind The Anniversary Attic is to offer a curated collection of quirky and traditional vintage gifts, alongside my handmade cards and other items, to make it easy for customers to find something suitable for any given year without spending hours searching the web or traipsing around shops.

The shop is shut for a few days this week, but when it reopens some new cards and wooden gifts will be available 😊

Dinky little silver plated hearts on grey silk for a 25th anniversary, this beautiful turned wood dish, 8 little bronze hearts on emerald green velvet for an 8th anniversary, and finally these wooden lovers - perfect for a couple celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary.

These are just a few examples of the handmade and curated gifts and cards in the shop at the moment.

Take a look after Friday 😀

More new stock added to my shop last night including this lovely little Walter Bosse style blackened brass elephant, a Stuart Houghton brass pot with ceramic lid, and a tactile spalted ash tealight holder, signed by the maker.

I've had some lovely reviews from happy customers recently. Makes it all worthwhile 😊

I am so grateful I still have a post office within walking distance!

A little bit of kanban, not as much 5S as there could be and I'm not sure it's lean, but this is my own little production line 😊

I particularly love my work station - my uncle's trunk when he came to the UK from the US in the 60s.

Welcome to my world of slow making 👋

If you want mass-produced, printed by robots you're in the wrong place. If you want a card which is unique every time, handstitched and assembled with care then you should stay!

Have a look at my shop for finished products - link in bio.

AI can't make handstitched cards, but it can have a go at writing poems 🤣 (sorry to all the real poets out there!)

The Anniversary Attic is back after a lovely month off so if you need a wedding anniversary gift or card visit the shop now 😊

Thank you for all of your custom over the last 6 months. I'm taking a break and will be back with lots of exciting new stock in August.
