Losing a pet can be incredibly difficult. Depending on the circumstances, there can be a whole range of emotions that take time to work through. ❤️‍🩹
One thing that really touched me when I lost Harlow were the thoughtful gifts I received, particularly a card that contained a packet of forget me not seeds. 🌱
I burst into tears at the lovely words and the thought that his energy could live on through another life form and bloom beautifully each year. 💙
With that in mind, I made a change to my pet memorial trinket gift bag and added some forget me nots - to sprinkle with love and forget them not. ✨️
We scattered some of Harlow's ashes in his favourite shady spot under the flaming silver in the garden and sprinkled the seeds in the surrounding soil. Hopefully next year I'll be able to post a picture of them all in bloom! 🌸
You may never know just how much sending a meaningful gift to someone who has recently lost a companion would mean to them. 💖

It's taken me a little while to post this on here as it's still upsetting to think about, but just the other day I was able to finally put Harlow's picture up in my craft room, take his ashes out from a box under my bed and place them next to it with one of his favourite toys 🤎
My brave boy... You were a loving, handsome, whirlwind of a furbaby! 🐶 A pretty useless assistant branch manager at LWW Co, but you always made sure I took regular breaks and got my Vitamin D and exercise 🤗 even in the Winter!
I loved you from the moment you came into our lives and taught us so much in 8 short years. You left us with pawprints on our hearts and both mummy and daddy by your side ❤️
I will never forget you my little monkey 🐒 I'll miss those fuzzy ears, but I know you'll always be nearby.

Spring is slowly approaching... I've seen, blossom, snow drops, crocus, daffodils, lambs and felt the warmth of the sun on my face today as I played in the back garden with my big daft German Shepherd 🐶
I've also seen an increase in demand for my little Godparent proposal bottles as people start to plan for Christenings in slightly warmer weather 🌤
