Another order packaged and ready for the post office including an extra easter treat.đ°đĢ
I have made the decision to come off as the ridiculous fees make it so unfeasible.
Apologies for the moan below, but it has left me feeling so disheartened.
I ended up losing money on this particular order after the extortionate fees charged. Over half the value of the sale was taken up in fees. Then after P&P and the cost of the delivery materials, I was out of pocket. Never mind they charged me for offsite ads that I never set up - very sneaky.
We all know, their fees are a joke and their algorithms impossible, but it really shouldn't be allowed.
Without paying a fortune on ads, it is very difficult to get seen and therefore get orders and naturally increase visability. I know I'm not the strongest at the etsy game, but after speaking to fellow independent sellers, it's clear I'm not alone in feeling like this.
What started as a marketplace for independent sellers, has now become something for anyone but. They are now the big business they started out fighting against.
The shop will stay up whilst I explore alternatives, but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. What's worked for you?
