It's and today we are talking about light ☀️
As glorious as this parlor palm looks in the morning sun, this isn't her usual spot because it is just too bright and her fronds would eventually scorch...ouch!
If you have moved your plants closer to a natural light source (that's a window to you and me!) over the winter months now is the time to move them to a spot that offers indirect light before they start to get sunburnt.
Indirect light means that the light is filtered through something before hitting the plant...a blind, privacy glass or the plant is far enough from the window that they won't feel the direct rays. This is especially important if you have a west facing window and get hot evening sun, that can be a real killer for some plants!
Your plants will often give warning signs that they aren't happy...droopy leaves & brown spots, but hopefully our leafy friends won't need to get to that point now you know to watch out for those super bright direct rays 😎
