Shreya and Miles came to me with a fearless colour palette!
Their palette was personal. Bright marigold orange connected the design to Shreya’s Indian heritage, paired with burgundy, accents of blue and pink, green and cuts of yellow.
Their worry was how to make the ceremony and marquee feel connected. They also wanted the aisle flowers to work twice, but weren’t sure whether they could be reused around the entrance, bar, seating plan and large tables on the lawn.
My idea was to use the marigold orange as the thread running through the entire day. I designed the aisle meadows as moveable installations so they could take over new spaces after the ceremony. We chose statement vessels that worked with the existing terracotta planters outside the marquee.
Inside, the same colours continued through the floral rings and long guest tables.
The result was one connected, high-energy design that celebrated heritage and style.
This wedding definitely didn’t whisper!
