So... hereās the reason Iāve been going a lot slower with Loaf & Bear and life in general this year! My energy has been sucked up by growing a tiny human, arriving in August!
Iām so very excited for and appreciative of the baby and the science behind their development is blooming miraculous but... pregnancy itself is something I really donāt enjoy! š¬ The fact weāve been in lockdown means Iāve not had enough distraction from the exhaustion, nausea, pain, hormones and the last 3 months have been a struggle. I have not been and am still not at my strongest mentally and emotionally. Which is why there are massive gaps in my engagement on here, and off it too to be honest! My motivation, energy and joy has been frequently (but not always) very low.
Hereās hoping things get better as we ease out of lockdown but thank you to everyone who has engaged with me in the past couple of months, Iāve really appreciated the connection (even if Iāve not shown it.) š Iām sure relaxing and chatting with friends and family in gardens, working away from my dining table, being in locations other than my house and local walking routes, and catching up with other makers at in-person markets and events will make such a difference to my wellbeing! Iām really looking forward to what lies ahead.
In the meantime, if anyone has any tips for mood-boosting that doesn't involve wine, gin or rare steak, please let me know! š
