We are located at 18 Oldham Street, at the heart of Manchester's rapidly expanding Northern Quarter. This shop has two floors of CDs and records, and we have a team of staff who know their specialist areas like the backs of their hands. These include rock and indie, metal, punk, alternative, experimental, industrial, psychedelic and soundtracks. We also have a large team who specialise in hip hop,

house, techno, electronica, rave, jungle, r'n'b, disco, soul, funk and reggae. In addition we deal in jazz, blues, folk, country, world music… in short, pretty much every style of music there is. We pride ourselves on our fair approach to pricing, whether you're selling your unwanted records, CDs or DVDs or buying from our huge collection of stock. We do not believe in over-charging our loyal customers, and we hope that you'll agree as you look through the site that much of our stock is a good deal cheaper than you'll find elsewhere. And if you're selling items to us we want you to feel that you've got a fair deal. What you see on the website is at present just a selection of our stock, so do visit us if ever you're in Manchester. In the meantime, we can assure you of a quick, polite and efficient mail order service if you want to buy direct from the website.

After just over 12 years of service to the Vinyl Exchange cause, we yesterday bade farewell to our very own Highland Lassie, .
Ailsa decided that joining many of us here in the multi-decade club wasn’t for her, so has left us to further her (already well-established) dreams in the worlds of DJing and radio, and no doubt bothering many more dogs and cats along the way.
So, thanks for everything Florence McJobbies, you’ll be greatly missed by us all, 😉and good luck in all your future endeavors, we’re sure you’ll smash it! ###
