Well… this is a post wealways knew would come, but we’re still really sad to be writing it.
After 8 amazing months, our time as a pop-up at the Corn Exchange Manchester has come to an end.
When we opened our doors, we were only supposed to be here for 8 weeks. Somehow, those 8 weeks turned into 8 months, and before we knew it, this little pop-up had become our second home.
We’ve been through freezing winter mornings, ridiculously hot summer days, and everything in between. We’ve met so many wonderful people, welcomed hundreds of customers through our doors, and had the privilege of showcasing the work of so many incredible independent artists and makers in one of Manchester’s most beautiful buildings.
We’re so grateful to the Corn Exchange for believing in us and supporting us throughout our time here. Extending our stay from 8 weeks to 8 months is something we’ll always be thankful for.
To everyone who visited us, bought a gift, treated themselves, recommended us to friends, or simply stopped for a chat – thank you. Every bit of support has meant the world to us. Independent businesses don’t exist without people like you, and we’re incredibly grateful that so many of you chose to support ours.
Although we’re closing the doors to this pop-up, this isn’t the end of Eclektika. Pop-ups are what we do, and while we’ve been at the Corn Exchange we’ve also been popping up in places like Stockport. We’ve absolutely loved being back in Manchester city centre and the response has been incredible.
So now we’re looking ahead to the next adventure. We’d love to find another Manchester space for a future pop-up or bring Eclektika back with more weekend events.
If you know of a venue, an empty shop, or an opportunity where Eclektika might fit, we’d love to hear from you. Please tag them below, share this post, or get in touch. We’d love nothing more than to be back in Manchester again soon.
This isn’t goodbye. It’s just the end of one very special pop-up.
From the bottom of our hearts from me, the team and all of the traders past and present… thank you, Manchester. ❤️
