It's Empire week and our last fest larp of the season!

Here we see Dust, relaxing in a bar in the Coast and chatting with their sibling. I love the yellow and brass tones of Dust's kit and how you can tell it's Dust cos yellow!

Something a bit different today, our first ever two colour sunhood.

Made for a character at Menhirs Fate LARP who follows two different gods, this hood is half black and half white. We tweaked the pattern to add a centre seam to each of the pieces and we're delighted how it has come out.

We'll be looking to add some more like this to our stock and are open for commissions over winter

There's been a larp bandwagon going round, so obviously we hopped on!

We went on a little trip to Curious Pastimes last weekend, visiting for just the Saturday!

The kit I'm wearing is things I've made over the past few years for a bunch of different games from Romans to Vikings and fantasy games.

The only new kit is the hood, using my regular sunhood pattern and a rectangle cloak, both using supplies out of my stash.

It all pulled together really well though, and I think it works well for this lovely little travelling paladin!

We'll be back next year and for longer than just one day!

He chose to survive, but at what cost?
.. Injury, trauma and betraying everyone who knows you still live

Rik had a heck of a time at Welcome to: the Outpost, a Tithing Storyline game. Heavily inspired by the Hunger Games, the Storyline events explore what happens to the Tithes (tributes) once the cameras have been turned off.

I've played him across 3 different events, including back to the Arena, and the twists of his story continue to survive. We've one more event for this system, scheduled for next year and I can't wait to see where his story goes.

So it turns out, Rik is not in fact ok and has been in Cuckoo (rebel) captivity since the end of the last Arena, 4 months ago.

He's crashing out here as another barrage hits the camp. He's got some difficult days to navigate

We're back from Empire and back with the loom!

We've previously woven this bird in more Wintermark colours, but we're Freeborn now and who says this can't be a firebird too?

Facebook and Insta are being weird and not posting the text I've added to my last two posts!

Anyway!

From yesterdays flames, today we have the much more muted vines and leaves. Tablet weaving lends itself beautifully to curving lines like these. The vines design on the left is one of my absolute favorites to weave, along with the Oseberg inspired patterns of the middle and furtherst right.

We're attending Empire this weekend, and will be at the Blanket Bazaar this Thursday night selling our lovely belts and sunhoods.

There's lots of small, independent crafters and artists there come along and see what we have! We're up in the Hall of Worlds between 6 and 9pm!
