Can we have a little moment for the gladioli please?

They’re looking so good right now - tall, a little bit dramatic and brilliant for adding height and movement to an arrangement.

And whilst they’re still at their peak, they won’t be hanging around for too much longer, so if you’re a fan, now’s the time to enjoy them.

I love them mixed through a big florist’s choice bouquet, but honestly, a generous bunch of gladioli on their own in a tall vase is hard to beat. No fuss. No complicated styling. Just let them do their thing.

They’re traditionally said to symbolise strength, determination and admiration too, which makes them rather lovely if you’re gifting them to someone who deserves a little “you’ve got this” 💪 We've already had a few bouquets heading off to University! 💫

As a florist, you'd think I might be good at stopping and smelling the roses from time to time... but I think we're all guilty of focussing on what's next - the next order, wedding, event.

But none of it would be possible without the people who believe in us, trust us, and choose to shop local with us in Didsbury.

We like to think BIG - creatively, aspirationally, a little wildly(!) but it's just one small team of florists, working exceptionally hard to make each and every arrangement (and customer) feel truly special.

So, to every customer, bride, groom, or business who's used one of our services, referred a friend or simply supported us with gusto from the sidelines, thank you.

From pumpkin spice to plum noir, the ber months are coming and it's all about preparing to get cosy.

Here's my 3 favourite things...

1️⃣ Berry-stained, burnt-edged, beautifully autumnal - all my favourite flowers are coming into stock and make transitioning your home from Summer to Autumn so beautifully easy.

2️⃣ Right on cue, The Naked Candle Company ever-popular Pumpkin Spice candle is back in store. Warming, spicy, autumnal and one of those scents that disappears from our shelves almost as quickly as it arrives.

3️⃣ And who doesn't love a decorative gourd - so many delectable colours, it's the adult version of being a kid in a sweetie shop!
