I won 1st prize with my quilt at Romiley Young Farmers Show on Sunday! I forgot to put it on here but I was tired when I got back!

✨ Sometimes you just have to start sewing! ✨

I’ve been playing with some small samples of the new Layers of Time collection and made a patchwork to show how well the fabrics work together.
I think they work quite well with the grey textured blender!

These are the Layers of Time fabrics and I’ve added the fat eighth panels so you can see the designs on them. There are 8 different designs on each panel so you get a bit of everything really!

✨ A little behind-the-scenes story…

When Craft Cotton Company were developing their new Layers of Time collection, their Managing Director asked me what I thought about the designs.

I suggested including Fat Eighth panels because I know how much quilters enjoy having coordinated fabrics ready for patchwork projects. It was lovely to see that idea become part of the finished collection!

The collection is now here at Sunnyside Fabrics UK and includes:

👜 Tote Bag panel
🧵 Coordinating fabrics by the metre

It’s always a privilege to be able to share ideas with suppliers and even more exciting when those ideas make it into a finished collection.
