It's a long time since I did any papercutting but I really enjoyed creating this wedding commission. The design was drawn by hand and then hand-cut from a single sheet of paper before being backed onto navy blue (to match the bridesmaids' dresses) and framed. It is slow and careful work but so rewarding. The letters in the venue name are just 0.5cm tall!

Just before Christmas I made this mixed media piece for a lovely friend as part of a Secret Santa we do with some other crafters.

The sailing boat is hand-stitched and hand-stuffed, the clouds and waves are painted with watercolours, the bottom of the sea is made up of layers of tissue paper, and there's a variety of pretty bits in the bottom corner. And it's all finished off with rather a lot of glitter! Can you ever have enough sparkle?!

I've been rather quiet on here recently but for once I have a good excuse! I've been busy getting myself a little corner of the internet! I've finally framed the Lakeview Monkey Sanctuary papercut monkey and he is ready to go to his new home! Lakeview is an amazing charity that rescues monkeys and gives them a forever home in the peace and quiet of a beautiful woodland.

They are currently building a new enclosure for a pair of vervet monkeys. Unfortunately the building (done entirely by volunteers) has had to stop with only a few days' work left to do. The remaining materials needed are expensive so it has been put on hold until more money can be found.

This monkey is the first in a series of papercuts that I will be selling to raise money for the vervet enclosure. He is £50 +p&p and the £50 will be sent straight to Lakeview. If you would like to buy him, or want any more information, please get in touch.

This piece will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

The first Lakeview Monkey Sanctuary papercut is finished! Really happy with how he's turned out. All that's left to do is frame him but I can't decide whether I prefer the pink or the green background. I love them both! What do you think?
