Evolution of a design 🐝✨

These little guys have been on quite the journey!

The original bee & dragonfly were made from black MDF, but the resin bled into the material—definitely not ideal for outdoor use.

Next, I tried black acrylic. Better… but far too time-consuming (and expensive), and the design still wasn’t quite where I wanted it. They look nice nestled in ivy, but I knew they could be improved.

So—back to the drawing board! 🎨
Now redesigned (including butterfly 🦋 and ladybird 🐞 additions), with a plan to make them quicker to produce and even better in finish.
