This week we have been concentrating on listing spares or Repairs on Ebay, it’s rare I find time to commit to that but they do seem popular, take a look on our eBay site.

I have recently listed a few nice modern image items on our website including some rare Scotrail Mk2 coaches and a mint Lima 67 and 59

Lastly it not just trains we do have a look at this collection of Pristine Matchbox Superfast models which were out of an old retired Post Office near Watford brand new untouched until now
Then it’s JCB time if you have grand children and a sandpit these 1.24 and 1. 50 scale models will given them hours of fun starting at £25 each the ones photographed are the cheaper end made by JOAL but we also have a number of high end collectors models at the shop.

Traffic and Travel News , if you are intending to visit us over the next week or so please be aware North West water have decided to dig up the entire length of Derby Road at the side of the shop, no notice of course how kind making already difficult parking even worse, if you go around the back roads of the shops there is usually plenty of spaces and it’s only a 2 minute walk , Sorry!

We have just had in another collection of OO stuff this week mainly BR Eastern stuff A3s/A4s V2s class 40s peaks and a few Class 55 Deltics
Also amongst it was a few nice kit built locos and some superbly built coach kits of unknown origin.
Just in the middle of sorting through it all which does take some time.

This week we have achieved a big milestone in the history of our Business we have just received our 400th and 401st Positive Google reviews from genuine customers who appreciate good service.

We can’t please everyone all the time but I can tell you that takes some extraordinary effort not just from me but also the lads who help at the shop and even my family at home who do the packing and posting for eBay or our site.

We pride ourselves in being genuinely helpful and courteously to everyone who visits our shop .

Thanks to everyone who has left a review it’s so important these days in the Modern social media World and does help new customers feel at ease if they visit.
Yes we get bad ones occasionally as well just have to take it on the chin and move on!

it’s been a busy week with more interesting stock arriving.

New this week from Rapido are their delightful 009 scale narrow gauge wagons such as cylindrical tankers, stake wagons, covered vans and livestock vans all of which are bound to be sought after.

To all our customers and followers,
We'd like to clarify some recent information that has been circulating on Facebook regarding The Locoshed's attendance at East Lancashire Railway galas.

Contrary to some online posts, The Loco Shed has not been barred from trading at ELR gala events.

For the recent Diesel Gala, preservation societies were rightly given priority for platform stall space. As a result, we were unable to secure our preferred location. We were offered an alternative pitch on the footbridge, but on this occasion we chose not to take up that option.

We value our long-standing relationship with the East Lancashire Railway and its team, and we're grateful for the opportunities we've had to attend previous events. We regret any confusion that recent social media posts may have caused and look forward to supporting future ELR galas whenever possible.

Model Railway Layout OO gauge 23ft x 13ft amazing quality Fully working. 3 train operation plus shunting. Named " Burnmoor Junction" and featured on Daves Trains Youtube Channel in 2022

We also have a short video of the whole layout as its set up which i can gladly forward to you via e-mail or Whatsapp

We have been asked by a good friend of ours to advertise this superb layout on our Website in the Hope we can find it a New Home now.

Its sadly no longer used as the owners enjoyment was in the construction which has taken many years.

Hopefully as you will see from the photos its in near mint condition, very clean and has been kept in a clean dry dust free environment.

The previous owner has spent a fortune over the years to get it to this standard and is now hoping it can be re homed and re loved.

As you will see form the photos it has very conceivable type of feature on it, Coal mines, Farms, Town Square, Cricket match, a band stand, Church, industrial warehousing and loads more.

Most of the buildings are expertly made Metcalfe or Hornby Skaledale.

Please note all of the model trains have been sold separately and and few lying about in the photos are not included.

The Track ballasting and all of the scenics have been done to a high standard.

Every other item is, including all the vehicles, there are loads, traction engines, fire engines, Cranes ,tractors loads of buses and coaches and cars old and modern lots and lots.

All the track is top quality Peco Nickel Silver , its currently set up for DCC operation using a Gaugemaster Prodigy 2 Advance and DCC concepts Slow motion point motors x 26 and 2 x Alpha central control panels plus smart sniffers all working perfectly. It could of course be converted to just run on Dc analogue as well which we would help if thats what you need.

As this is currently sited in the Attic of the owners house it will need very careful removal including some sectioning of the main board which the current owner is more than happy to help with, lets be honest to minimize much damage it will take a few days of careful removal plus 2 persons and a van to move all at the buyers expense.

Its currently sited between Bolton and Bury in Lancashire 20 mins from Jct 16 / 17 of the M60 or M66. or via the A666 in Bolton
