It's **ewednesday and whilst we're heading back from a short bank holiday break🍹 😎, then are preparing to head off to Bordeaux; for a 'fun' marathon, good luck! . They ARE open today however, to get stocked up.

Mr Winyl in the meantime will be dressing up, as part of the Synergy Cosplay presence at Invasion Colchester this Saturday, 5th September raising money for St Helena and the Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity. Come along and join the fun, with all your favorite characters from TV and film, movie cars, signings, live music from Suzy Cramer and more including a special event B**R🍺 ...assemble etc from 10am in Colchester City centre ⚔️

FRIDAY 28th - National Red W**e Day; with the weather cooling it seems the right time to start the switch to the rosso. Head to to check out their latest offerings.

SATURDAY 29th - the with food, drink and live music over TWO days.
It's also the book launch of our very talented friend Clem Luxfords novella; it's already rising fast like the tide, in the alt book charts. Grab a copy and you may even get special message from the author.

�It's **ewednesday and whilst we always encourage you to visit independent w**e merchants, sometimes you find yourself in the supermarket staring at endless bottles of mass produced headache juice.

Well we took a chance on this spooky little vegan, biodynamic chardonnay in Tesco from the land of Oz and it's beautiful! Witches berry is a w**d and Italian women once put the juice of the berry in their eyes, to dilate their pupils, making them appear darker and more beautiful. I mean have you ever seen an ugly Italian woman? (Nope 🇮🇹 )

Buttery, silky, a soupçon of French oak; just a great drop for these slightly cooler evenings and look at that label. A sickle moon over the ankh, goat horn buried beneath the grapes, magic mushrooms and a kangaroo trying to touch himself...all for £13.50 which is a decent price for this quality, we shall stumble into it more often 🥂.

Whatever you do, don't look directly, even through green glass (yes we googled it 😎🤣) but find somewhere nice and quiet, pour a chilled glass of organic bubbles, fresh rose or chilled pinot noir, to start the transformation. 🥂

Ciao baby, it's **ewednesday and time to sink the pink; we don't mean rosé we mean proper pinkie promise cerasuolo, only from Abruzzzo; it's our new favourite w**e for summer. We fell in love with this light montepulciano a little while ago, but every time we sip we slip ever deeper under its spell. It is not something you can pick up at the local supermarket, but worth grabbing if you see it at your local independent w**e merchant.

This weekend though it's the with some cracking live music all FREE!!!.

Then Sunday, Poseidon will start your personal odyssey, battling through the thick mud to the penteconter moored offshore, avoiding the deadly creatures that lurk in the flats, aka the tug o war teams. Oh how they sweat, stink, and grunt for glory. Go and cheer them on from 9.30a.m (no it's not too early for a b**r!!)🍻

It's **ewednesday and we're back from Italy's newest festival in conjunction with **ery, celebrating local art, food, music and w**e around a beautiful medieval hilltop town where every corner had something new to discover. They did well, dare we say better than us, with the scale and variety of things to do and see; we're privileged to have been there.🥂🇮🇹♥️

Back to now and what you have done with the weather... hopefully it'll brighten up tomorrow for the Harwich B**r Festival 23-26th in the redoubt fort. 🍻

CollecorVINOdiffuso - in vino cultura, will have performances and pop ups, through the winding streets of this beautiful medieval hilltop town, all weekend. No wonder he likes it, it really is like a home from home.♥️

It's 4th of July, the 250th anniversary of American Independence and I'm afraid Mum and Dad are VERY disappointed in how you've turned out. You have done SOME good stuff along the way but you 'must do better' or we may have to intervene. 🇺🇸

Closer to home it's the with 32 artists or so, being hosted by various shops, bars or at their studios on Saturday and Sunday.

This afternoon Those Colchester Buskers playing at The Crown from 3-6p.m and then this evening is hosting the version groovy and loud featuring and the . Music starts at 7.30ish and it's a donation on the door for the British Red Cross. ❌

Sunday 5th is the first birthday of with the return of Jazz Station and Those Colchester Buskers, it's free entry. Plenty to do around . NEXT weekend is not only the Tendring Show but the **rfestival too. 🍻

It's **ewednesday and, after the rehashed Take That tour to top up their care home fund, then someone took a little break to try and flog his organic w**e into our beloved **ery . Needless to say he was up against Abruzzzos finest and didn't make the cut 🤣😎 (we're only kidding GB ♥️ 😉).

Back in the real world NEXT w**e wednesday **ebar have a great tasting evening, with 5 beautiful w**es from 'Spain to Portugal', book in with Rowan before this sells out!!

Then this Saturday 4th July the returns with loads of venues and artists taking place on a free trail around town. It'll draw more people than the America State Fail (sorry fair), so check out the full deets on their Instagram.

Then in the evening is hosting a charity fundraiser for the red cross (send help - USA is badly hurt, no actually do Gaza, Iran, Ukraine first) with the talented , and raising the roof and some money 🙏. Free but donations are appreciated.
