Many childhood/ teenage memories were made here and my nearby home town .

The tale of the Pendle Witches is a sad one indeed 💕

On this day in 1612 the Pendle witch trials began. It culminated in 10 people being executed. One in York and the rest in Lancaster. I’ve been to Pendle Hill. It’s a beautiful place and it doesn’t speak of fear or death until you get to the cottages, then the atmosphere changes. Fear was what brought this about together with hysteria pushed by church and state.
To all those misjudged souls (two were men) I send love ❤️🖤

And now for something a little different .

I am extremely excited to announce we have a local artist coming on board to work alongside the shop .Eve Jackson.

More work can be seen on her instagram account @ weeves._art

Below is just a couple of examples of the paintings which have recently been done .

As well as stocking paintings in the shop commissions will also be taken .

However, please note no “animal work” will be done as in her words “I really don’t like painting them “

As this is a new venture, I would really appreciate any likes or comments and also if you have any particular themes you would like to see please let us know .

Although as Christmas is approaching, there could be a few alternative pictures appearing soon

Good afternoon and apologies all for it being rather quiet on the page. 

The shop is still having it little move about and as can be seen we have yet another box of goodies. Some old favourites and new additions will soon be out in the shop.

We are also busy preparing for Halloween (the best time of the year) and then dare I say it, Christmas . So if there’s any ranges or anything you’d like me to have a look for for you just let me know

But we already have lots of nice little gifts home decor and alternative presents .

Just a quick thank you to everyone who turned up to the first gathering tonight.

After a bit of a nervous shaky start, it actually went pretty well - all thanks to you .

Thank you for the ideas the sharing And for giving me lots to think about and theories to read up 😃

GATHERING UPDATE

Tonight’s gathering falls in line with the eclipse , a perfect time for shadow and light, new beginnings and discarding what we no longer need .

So it seems ideal to feature this celestial event in our first monthly gathering

Solar eclipses are times of shadows and darkness light and rebirth giving us the opportunity to discard what we no longer need to look inside ourselves and focus on a new beginning . Embracing both the darkness and the light as one.

As part of this , for roughly 10 minutes tonight, we will go outside and look at the eclipse. If you have any glasses please bring them with you alternatively, a colander can be utilised and used . If you do wish to view the eclipse please have a look online on how you can do this safely and bring any items with you, You may need . I will provide the paper if required.
