Novo/Frog Supermarine Attacker 1/72 - part 3

Cockpit scratchbuilding complete. It isn't perfect but it's sure a lot better then what it was originally. Pilot is Airfix, and the ejector seat is from a scrapped Folland Gnat. I've also filled and fixed the landing gear up šŸ™‚

I've also managed to scrounge some decals up from my collection to replace the destroyed original ones. The only original decals to be used will be the numbers and letters of the aircraft registration.

Novo (Ex Frog, USSR made) Supermarine Attacker build, Part 2.

Assembled and cockpit rear panel now made out of filler. Silly me cut too much plastic out so I had to use some milliput and make a new rear panel. Bit of fine sanding to do and a coat of primer but other than that it's more or less done construction wise. Going to be a gear 'up' build as I don't have the parts to build new wheel wells and cut them out, not worth it on this kit for me I'm afraid.

I scavenged a correct ejector seat from a Folland Gnat I had in the scrap pile, and I'm getting a correct pilot figure with a respirator and helmet from a kit that i wont use it in (Airfix's PZL Lim-5).

Wee bit of scratchbuilding an interior for this Supermarine Attacker is being done. Parts bin special i'm afraid but it's going well so far. Extended the cockpit tub so the intakes look right, cut the horrible moulded top off, and bodged a seat together from a scrap kit. I may end up robbing one off another kit to make it look better.

After nearly a month of hard work, heres the Jaguar 420G by Airfix completed. All I have to do is fit the grille on the bottom of the windscreen as I rushed painting it and messed it up, and used some PVA to make a fog lamp as the other was missing. This kit took some horrendous body fixing work to make it straight and lots of filling and sanding and filing. Not for beginners. But a very very nice kit. There is small areas of touch up to do as well. As with all models. Sprayed with a Halfords Gold.

Jag body primed and somewhat well repaired. Did the best with what I had, never had to repair this sort of damage before and with no spares availability unfortunately I had to make do. Quite noticeable close up but not from a normal distance. See my old thread on how I repaired this using nothing but scrap plastic and filler and scribing knife.

LVT finished. Great kit, not the same issues as the new "Vintage Classics" release as this is was a 90s version. Sorry for the lack of posts, but life has had its way of keeping me away from the bench in recent times. Currently building the Jaguar 420G by Airfix, pics to follow soon...

LVT with Jeep being built. Kamov has been reduced to shelf of doom as I am fed up of trying to fix all the problems with it and a paint disaster has finished it off. I'll use it for spares if I ever bother to make another.

Airfix Kamov Ka-25A coming on, I'm trying to sort all the issues with this kit and fill in awkward places, sorting some pva glue suitable for making new glazing etc. Rotors are fully built but I've had to replace some of the arms as I snapped them on the sprue 🤦
