At The Balloon Lady Weddings & Events, we’re looking for a handful of local businesses who would love a beautiful Christmas garland installed at their premises at a heavily discounted price! ❤️

🎄 Whether you’re a hairdresser, beauty salon, café, restaurant, boutique or another local business, we’d love to hear from you!

So, what’s the catch? 🤭

Nothing major, we promise!

All we ask in return for the discounted installation is that you allow us to include a couple of small advertising baubles featuring our business name and details, tastefully placed throughout your Christmas display.

That’s it! No huge signs or anything that takes away from your gorgeous decorations! ✨

🎁 Your garland can be designed to complement your shopfront, branding and preferred Christmas colours.

We’re hoping to get some beautiful festive displays up nice and early this year, giving your customers plenty of time to enjoy them!

💔 The not-so-glamorous side of running a small business…

Sometimes it really does feel like one step forward and two steps back!

Unfortunately, we’ve recently had several of our children’s bumper cars returned to us with significant damage. One was in such poor condition that I could physically pull the steering wheel straight off! 😔

These aren’t cheap little toys. They’re expensive pieces of equipment that we’ve invested in to bring something different and exciting to children’s parties and events.

We absolutely understand that children get excited, accidents happen and things occasionally get broken. That’s part of running an events business, and we’ve always accepted that there will be general wear and tear.

But there’s a big difference between normal wear and tear and equipment being returned in a condition that requires costly repairs or complete replacement.

As a small, family-run business, these costs really do hurt. Every penny we earn goes towards keeping the business running, paying our lovely team, maintaining our equipment and investing in new things for our customers.

It’s incredibly disheartening to work so hard to build something, only to find ourselves having to replace equipment that should have lasted us for years.

Unfortunately, this is why we’ve now had to introduce refundable damage deposits on certain hire items. It’s not something we ever wanted to do, but we simply can’t continue absorbing the cost of significant damage.

❤️ All we ask is that our equipment is treated with the same care and respect that you would give your own belongings.

We’re a small business, not a big company with an endless pot of money, and sometimes I think people forget that.

Thank you to all our wonderful customers who continue to look after our equipment and support our little family business. It really does mean the world. ❤️

🔔 IMPORTANT UPDATE – DAMAGE DEPOSITS NOW IN PLACE 🔔

As our business continues to grow and we invest in more beautiful equipment for our customers to enjoy, we’ve made the decision to introduce refundable damage deposits on selected hire items, effective immediately.

Unfortunately, we’ve recently had a few occasions where equipment has been returned damaged, broken or in a condition that requires repairs or replacement.

We completely understand that accidents happen, and we’ve always tried to be as understanding and reasonable as possible. However, as a small business, we simply cannot continue to absorb the cost of damage to our equipment.

💕 What does this mean for our customers?

✨ Selected hire items will now require a refundable damage deposit.

✨ Deposits will be returned following collection and inspection, provided equipment is returned in the agreed condition.

✨ Any damage, missing items or excessive cleaning may result in deductions, in line with our hire terms.

✨ This will only apply to certain items, not every booking.

We take enormous pride in looking after our equipment and providing lovely, well-maintained products for every event. All we ask is that our customers show the same care and respect while they’re hiring them.

This isn’t about making extra money – it’s about protecting the equipment we’ve worked incredibly hard to buy and maintain.
