If you’ve been wondering what the new building is at the nursery… here’s a closer look.
This video was filmed from the top of our brand‑new wood chip shelter, giving you a brilliant view right across Delfland.

You’ll spot the solar panels on the roof — part of our ongoing push for greener, more efficient energy.

The shelter itself has a very practical job: keeping all our wood chip dry for the wood chip boilers, ready for the upcoming Tomato Growing Season.

We hear the hobbies over the nursery more than we actually see them — but fortunately had a good view this morning and managed to catch a short video on the phone.

The quality isn’t perfect, but the sound is good.

If you didn’t know, the hobby’s Latin name is Falco subbuteo — and yes, I’ve known that little fact for some time. I’ll even give you that one for free. The table football game Subbuteo is named after this bird because the creator couldn’t trademark “Hobby,” so he went with the Latin name instead.

Not just about plants at Delfland Nurseries — we love our wildlife just as much.
