✨ ONE LAST TIME… LET’S DO THIS! ✨

After everything that’s happened over the past few years, it feels a little surreal to be heading into my final Young Traders Market competition! 🥹💚

I’ll be trading at the National Final in Stratford-upon-Avon on Friday 28th & Saturday 29th August, and I honestly couldn’t be more excited to be part of it.

I’ve been looking back through some of my photos and awards from my Young Traders journey, and it’s made me realise just how much has changed since I first started taking part. 🥹🏆

Over the past two years, I’ve collected some pretty amazing awards, but what I’m most proud of is the work behind them. I’ve constantly pushed myself to develop, adapt, grow, listen to feedback and take on advice wherever I can. Every competition, every market and every piece of feedback has given me something to take away and use to make LunaLou Handmade better.

And now, for my final year, I get to share the experience with some of the most talented young traders and entrepreneurs from across the UK. The standard is incredible, and I feel so lucky to be part of such an inspiring group of young businesses. ✨

I also can’t say enough about the NMTF and everything they do to support young entrepreneurs. Creating platforms like the Young Traders Market gives young people the opportunity to put themselves out there, gain real business experience, receive valuable feedback, build confidence and connect with other ambitious young traders. It really is such an amazing opportunity. 💚

So here’s to the final Young Traders Market adventure… and hopefully my biggest one yet! 👀🏆

A little late… but it’s finally time for my Young Traders Market Regional Final roundup! 💚✨

Firstly, I’m sorry this update has taken me so long! It’s been a whirlwind since the regional final with lots of orders to make (thank you! 🥹), stocking up for markets, and balancing everything alongside my full-time job. It’s been busy, but in the best way.

What an incredible day the East Midlands Regional Final was. Being surrounded by so many talented young businesses was so inspiring, and it was such an honour to chat with the judges and receive their feedback and not to mention record sales!!!

I was absolutely over the moon to be announced as Category Winner for the second year in a row! 🏆 And as if that wasn’t enough… I was also voted People’s Choice Winner! 💚

Looking back over the past three years in the Young Traders Market campaign, I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come. Along the way, I’ve been lucky enough to receive several awards, but none of them have happened by chance. They’ve come from constantly developing my skills, adapting my business, taking on every piece of feedback I can, and always looking for ways to improve. Every market, every conversation and every challenge has helped shape LunaLou Handmade into what it is today.

One of the best parts of this journey has been the support from everyone at the NMTF. They do such an amazing job creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs, giving us a platform to showcase our businesses, learn from experienced judges, build confidence, and connect with other inspiring traders. I’m so grateful to be part of it.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to support me, stopped by my stall, voted for me, and continues to support LunaLou Handmade. Every purchase, share, follow, and kind word genuinely means the world and helps me keep growing this little business.

One last polish… and then we’re ready. ✨

Tomorrow’s the day! I’ll be back in Market Harborough Square from 9am–4pm for the East Midlands Young Traders Regional Final, and I honestly can’t wait.

It’s hard to believe I’ll be competing just a few metres from where I first set up my little jewellery stall three years ago. The Young Traders Market Campaign has been such a huge part of my journey, and I’m so excited to spend the day surrounded by so many talented young business owners who inspire me every year. 💚

I’ve also been busy in the workshop getting a few new pieces ready… including these chunky sterling silver rings that I’m slightly obsessed with. 👀✨

Three years. Three competitions. Countless market days. ✨
In 2024, after receiving a golden ticket to the Midlands Regional Final I was awarded Highly Commended.
In 2025, I won my local heat and went on to become Midlands Young Trader 2025.
And this weekend, I was honoured to receive a Highly Commended award in my final year of the Young Traders competition 🤍
While I’m proud of the awards, what means the most is seeing how far LunaLou has come. From a small stall selling handmade jewellery to a business I’m truly proud of, this journey has brought incredible opportunities, amazing people, and so much growth.
One of the best parts has been being part of such an inspiring campaign that encourages and supports the next generation of young traders. It’s been amazing to share this experience with other young entrepreneurs, watch our businesses grow, and cheer each other on along the way.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported LunaLou, and to Harborough Market and NMTF for supporting the Local Heat today and helping create opportunities for young traders to thrive.

Saturday 20th June I’m back in Market Harborough for my first Young Traders heat… and it feels like a bit of a full-circle moment 🤍

Three years ago, this is where LunaLou’s Young Traders journey began. A small jewellery stand, a lot of nerves, and a big dream. Since then, so much has changed — from growing the collection and refining the brand, to opportunities I could only have imagined, all made possible with the support of the Young Traders Campaign ✨

The jewellery is still handmade from recycled sterling silver, the passion is still the same… but there may be a few new details waiting for you in a couple of weekend ☀️

Bromsgrove Market has been super helpful, everyone is so friendly as well which always helps and the support has been incredible and then being interviewed by the BBC, wow what a day!
