Very sad to hear of Robert Gillmor’s passing today. He was a lovely man and an artist with such genius and incredible talent. First met him over 40 years ago when he was our external examiner at Dyfed college of art! He was a phenomenal wildlife artist and will be hugely missed

Wishing her Majesty the Queen a very Happy Birthday.

🐝 Did you know the queen bee has a very important function within the colony, and has the longest life span by far. While the average life span of a queen bee is two to five years, queen bees have been known to live up to seven years, although this is rare.

God save the Queen! 🐝

Congratulations to Dr Sam Gandy our resident entomologist here at beefayre. Sam has now moved to north Norfolk where he is now part of a team of ecologists involved with river and wetland restoration throughout the UK.

Lots of exciting projects in the pipeline and hopefully some beaver reintroduction!

Wishing you lots of luck Sam!

Happy International Women’s day from our founder Sharon.

✨Continue reading to learn about Sharon’s inspiring passions✨.

“My passion for wildlife and nature started when I was a young girl and has grown deeper throughout my life. It began with the birds and curiosity led me to the bees!

10 years ago the media started sharing news about our pollinators and that inspired me to write an MA dissertation on the topic. I became totally immersed in the world of these wonderful creatures and I wanted to play a part in their protection. Compassion drives the art I create for Beefayre and the products are all in service of their cause.

Our brand isn’t just about selling products – we hope to engage our customers and help them to understand the critical importance of these tiny creatures in our ecosystem.

The more we can feel and understand the interconnection between all life on earth, the more we can cultivate a shared sense of responsibility and protection. This is at the heart of our ethos at Beefayre!”

In the last 6 weeks we have planted a total of 460 trees and shrubs here at the Beefayre meadow. All native species thriving on the new trees will increase our biodiversity here at beefayre.

We can not wait to see the impact this will have. What a fantastic start to Spring, don’t you agree?

Our huge thanks to all those involved with the project and planting.

Keep popping back for updates.

It’s been a Funday making pancakes here at Beefayre HQ today. It’s so interesting what we all prefer as our 🥞topping. Sharon loves honey and blueberries whilst Jules is Chocolate and cream.

What is your choice? We would love to know so we can try something different.
