If you love making things to decorate your home, you've an empty space that needs something just to finish it off and add some colour and sparkle. Are you free on Sunday and fancy spending a couple of hours surrounded by colourful patterned fabric and trims?

Come and join me to make a set of mini lampshades to decorate some fairy lights. It's fun and easy and a great way to spend a Sunday.

Everything is provided and you'll leave with something colourful and unique!

You can bring your own fabric if you'd like, it's a great project for using up off cuts and scraps or if you're feeling Christmassy you can make a festive set!

It's running alongside
Open Studios event so you'll also be able to see the work of 7 artists and designers exhibiting in the 252 Hall.

After a lovely week away exploring Italy I'm back in the studio, head down, preparing for .

Meet my Selkirk Seagull - done up as a painted seagull egg, sat in her nest cushion warming her eggs.

She'll be auctioned during with the money raised going to . I'll post the link when the auction goes live.

The Seagulls celebrate Alexander Selkirk's 350th birthday. He was born in Largo and was marooned on a desert island for 4 years before being found and returning there. Robinson Crusoe is based on his story.

The flowers I've painted on my seagull can be found on the Island Selkirk was stranded on.

Keep a lookout for all the seagulls, i've seen a few and they're fabulous!

I had such a lovely weekend at I didn't take many pictures. Definitely the sign of good times.

There was so much to see and be inspired by. Lots of returning faces and new friends to be made. And quite a few plants bought too..
