Poplar Miniature Railway Poplar Miniature Railway is a 7 1/4" gauge miniature railway open to the public in beautiful grounds at the Poplar Nurseries at Marks Tey in North Essex.

Poplar Miniature Railway is the miniature railway line that gives rides around the gardens at the Poplar Nurseries garden centre at Marks Tey near Colchester. The railway provides rides on our electric trains and Tommy the Tram and is aimed at young children, their parents and grandparents. We operate in conjunction with the children's play area, gardens, restaurant and garden centre attractions for visitors looking for something to occupy the children or themselves.
