Marldon Christmas Tree Farm is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sous Chef to join our team for the 2026 Christmas season.

Christmas at Marldon is a big operation. Thousands of visitors come to the farm to choose their Christmas trees, visit Father Christmas, enjoy our attractions and, of course, stop for some delicious food and drinks.

We need a Sous Chef who can help keep the kitchen running smoothly when the pressure is on.

THE ROLE
Working alongside the Chef and café management team, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

You'll be expected to be hands-on, organised and confident leading by example.

Your responsibilities will include:

•Supporting the Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen

•Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard

•Helping deliver a seasonal menu of breakfasts, lunches, light bites and festive specials

•Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Chef's absence

•Helping organise and supervise kitchen staff

•Supporting with food preparation and service

•Maintaining consistent portion sizes and presentation

•Ensuring food is prepared and served safely and efficiently

•Helping with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste

•Maintaining excellent kitchen cleanliness and organisation

•Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety standards are followed

•Helping train and support less experienced members of the team

•Keeping the kitchen calm, organised and productive during busy services

•Working closely with the front-of-house and café teams

When Christmas arrives, Marldon Christmas Tree Farm gets seriously busy!

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the buzz of a busy service and can keep their head when the orders start flying in.

You could be serving food to families who have just visited Father Christmas, customers choosing their Christmas tree and visitors enjoying a festive day out.
You'll need to be prepared for long, busy days and plenty of Christmas madness!

Weekend working and extended hours throughout the peak Christmas period are essential.

We're looking for someone who:

•Has previous professional Chef/Sous Chef experience

•Is confident working in a busy commercial kitchen

•Can take responsibility and lead a team when required

•Has excellent food preparation and cooking skills

•Has high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene

Marldon Christmas Tree Farm is looking for enthusiastic Food & Beverage Servers to join our café and hospitality team for the 2026 Christmas season.

Every Christmas, thousands of visitors come to Marldon to choose their perfect Christmas tree, visit Father Christmas, enjoy our attractions and spend time with family and friends.

We need a fantastic team to make sure our visitors have an amazing experience from the moment they arrive — including when they sit down for something delicious to eat or drink!

THE ROLE
As a Food & Beverage Server, you'll be one of the friendly faces our customers meet during their visit.
Your role will include:

•Welcoming customers with a friendly and positive attitude

•Taking food and drink orders

•Serving food and beverages to customers

•Clearing and resetting tables

•Keeping the café and customer areas clean, tidy and welcoming

•Taking payments and operating the till

•Helping with basic food preparation when required

•Restocking food, drinks and front-of-house supplies
•Supporting the kitchen and café team during busy periods

•Following food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness procedures

•Dealing with customer requests in a friendly and professional manner

•Helping create a fun and festive atmosphere throughout the café

•Christmas at the farm is fast-paced, exciting and sometimes a little chaotic!

•At peak times you'll be serving large numbers of families and visitors, so you'll need to be comfortable working at pace while maintaining great customer service.

•You'll need plenty of energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in.

•No two days will be quite the same and you'll certainly hear a lot of Christmas music!

THE ROLE

As a Barista, you’ll be an important part of our café team, serving great coffee and drinks while providing friendly, welcoming service to our customers.

•Preparing and serving high-quality coffee and hot drinks

•Preparing teas, hot chocolates and other café drinks

•Serving food and drinks to customers

CHRISTMAS AT MARLDON

This is not your average coffee shop!

During November and December, the farm comes alive with thousands of customers, Christmas trees, Father Christmas, families and festive activities.

It can get very busy, particularly at weekends and during December, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being on their feet, can work at pace and doesn't mind a little Christmas chaos!

You’ll need to be comfortable working longer and busier shifts during peak periods, including weekends.

•Has previous barista or café experience

•Loves coffee and enjoys serving customers

•Is friendly, approachable and confident

We are seeking a highly skilled, multi-disciplined Working Maintenance Manager to lead operations across our expanding 5-star luxury lodge resort, commercial restaurant, and agricultural estate. This permanent position is designed for an experienced engineering professional who takes pride in balancing strategic estate management with hands-on technical ex*****on on the tools.

Key Operational Focus Areas:
• Carpentry & Woodworking: Delivering high-end finish cabinetry, structural timber work, and luxury lodge decking maintenance.
