Remember my recent post about my propagation boxes which included the natural pest controller, Pinguicula tina? Well a month on and the mother leaves have completely died, having given all of their energy and life to their babies.

These will be planted on today, and hopefully in another month they will have grown enough to find new homes to catch flies in!

Salvia hotlips 💋
Attractive to pollinators! !

Very hardy perennial which will love a sunny spot in your garden.

The leaves of this plant smell deliciously lemony every time you brush past them and the flowers bring bright colour to the garden from May to November. The flowers are usually bright red and white but can go solid red and solid white after extreme temperatures.

They provide essential nectar to bees and other pollinators and are non-toxic to pets and to humans.

Google states that these need protecting from frost. Mine have never been protected and have just grown bigger for the last 12 years, even surviving the Beast from the East and a house move!

Epiphyllum anguliger / fishbone cactus / zigzag cactus 🌵

Not your average cactus! Native to Mexican jungles, this plant can thrive without direct sunlight and loves some humidity. It also prefers more regular watering than desert cacti (water well when the top half of the compost has dried out). It is not a greedy feeder either and only needs fertilising once or twice in early spring (I’ve even done that bit for you for this year!)

The stems start off as prickly growths which become flat with wide zigzagged edges, and the red tips you can see are signs that the plant is in a growing period.

Late summer/ early autumn it may bloom beautiful yellow or white flowers which have a very heady scent. These plants grow quite fast and look lovely in a hanging pot.

Please note the large flowering plant and the one in the cement pot are not for sale.

Sold out

Convallaria majalis / Lily of the Valley

Hardy, ground-covering perennial which spreads easily and flowers each spring. Often found in woodland, it thrives in damp, shady areas of the garden.

The petite, white bell-shaped flowers are highly fragrant and contrast beautifully with the green lance-shaped leaves.

If flowering seems reduced, simply divide the plant to refresh its growth.

x2 available. £3 each.

🐝Wild geranium / hardy geranium / cranesbill geranium / geranium endressii.🐝

Lovely, easy outdoor perennial plants which spread easily and provide good ground cover in garden beds. They bloom multiple pretty flowers throughout the warmer months - you can prolong flowering by deadheading regularly.

They are also an absolute powerhouse for pollinators, providing nectar and pollen to bees and butterflies.

Best planted in full sun (for increased flowering) but will manage in partial shade too.

Three pink flowering plants available.

£3 per pot.
