🎶 Come for a dig with Rob!

Join Rob for a look around our record department — thousands of records to choose from, with singles, albums and cassette tapes across all sorts of genres. There’s some cracking stock waiting to be discovered! 👀

We’ve also got a lovely little listening station, so you can give something a spin before taking it home. 🎧

You’ll spot VHS and plenty of other retro goodies along the way, but this video is all about the music.

📀 FREE RECORDS, VHS, DVDs & MORE! 📼

We’ve got a surplus of bits looking for new homes, so pop in, have a rummage through the free selection and help yourselves! 🙌

There are also two broken video players, free to a good home—ideal for anyone who fancies a repair project or wants them for spares.

Just be fair and leave some for others—we’d like a few people to enjoy a find rather than the whole lot going in one go.

We’ll be adding more throughout the day too. Come and see what takes your fancy! 😊

We’ve just had a cracking collection of rock records arrive at Entertainment World, including Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Dire Straits and plenty more! 💿

Some great albums in this lot, including live recordings and a mixture of other gems to dig through.

💿 PHYSICAL MUSIC ISN’T JUST BACK—IT’S STILL GROWING.

In 2025, physical-music revenue in the United States reached $1.38 billion, rising by 5% in a single year.

Vinyl led the way, with 46.8 million records sold, while people also bought 29.5 million CDs.

And here at Entertainment World, we’ve definitely noticed an uptick in CD sales. More people are browsing them, buying them and rediscovering just how much great music is still affordable on CD.

For all the convenience of streaming, people still want something real—music they can hold, collect, display and keep. Great artwork, sleeve notes and the pleasure of discovering an album for yourself rather than having an algorithm choose it.

Physical media never completely disappeared. People are simply remembering why they loved it.

Own it. Hold it. Keep it.

💿 ARE CD SINGLES A SLEEPER COLLECTABLE TO WATCH? 👀

We’ve just had a large collection of CD singles arrive in the shop, and it got us thinking…

For years, people practically gave these things away. But compared with albums, many CD singles were produced in smaller numbers, thrown out, damaged or simply forgotten about.

Some contain exclusive B-sides, rare remixes, alternative versions and tracks that never appeared on the album—or even made it onto streaming.

With CDs becoming increasingly popular and collectable again, could CD singles quietly become one to watch?

Do you already collect them? Have you kept yours from the ’90s and 2000s? Or would you consider starting a collection while they’re still relatively affordable?

We’d love to hear what everyone thinks. Are CD singles future collectables—or are we talking absolute rubbish? 😂💿

🎮 ENTERTAINMENT WORLD — WEEKLY ROUNDUP! 🎶

Another incredibly busy week of buying, sorting and filling the shop with fresh stock!

This week we’ve had in:

🦇 A brilliant collection of Batman and DC figures
⚡ Loads of Pokémon plushies, figures, books and collectibles
🎮 A huge PlayStation haul, including PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 games, consoles and accessories
💿 More quality vinyl, including soul, boogie, reggae, early house, Beatles and Oasis
📼 Pre-recorded VHS, DVDs and plenty of wonderfully random retro bits
🧸 Mixed toys, trading cards and loads more still being sorted!

Ryan and Sal will be here to welcome you tomorrow from 11am, and we’re open again on Sunday from 11am until 5pm.
