I’m Malcolm Williams, the man behind Mr Wash.
I started out with a 4-year apprenticeship at Lucas Aerospace, working on high-precision systems where things had to be right—no shortcuts, no guesswork. That standard has stayed with me ever since.
Over the last 30+ years, I’ve worked through electronics, TV and video repairs, and into domestic appliances—learning not just how they work, but how they’re built, how they fail, and how to make them last.
Today, I run a small local team with a real shop and a fully equipped workshop. No call centres, no subcontracting—just experienced engineers doing the job properly.
We regularly take on repairs that others have written off. In many cases, machines don’t need replacing—they just need diagnosing properly and fixing properly.
Our workshop experience has also led to us working directly with manufacturers—helping develop and refine installation methods for new appliances. That means we don’t just fit machines… we understand how they should be fitted from the inside out.
We also supply and rent reliable appliances, all installed the right way. Because even the best machine won’t last if it’s installed badly.
I’m also involved in local Repair Café work, because I believe in repairing where it makes sense—not just throwing things away.
If you want it done properly, that’s what we do.
