Flowers were all locally grown in a soft pastel summer colour palette with a pop of accent colours. As well as Peonies, garden Roses & Sweetpeas I also added in some of my favourite flowers at this time of year. Cornflowers, Nigella, Corncockle & Daisies which give a natural & wild flower style, which fitted perfectly with the venue.

This is a week dedicated to celebrating British grown flowers and the people who grow them.

Flowers from the farm is a women-led organisation with women accounting for more than 70% of the membership and I’m proud to have been a member since 2013. Yes the photo of me is back in 2014 the first time I grew Ranunculus brilliantly but not enough customers to buy them! Fortunately business has improved and now I also buy from lots of other fabulous flower farmers local to me.

There are flower farmers the length and breadth of the country and you can find your local grower via the flowers from the farm website. 🌸

My workshop was awash with colourful seasonal flowers, all British grown and the majority grown by Mel just a few miles from the venue.
