Helen Williams and I have teamed up to create short stories for kids on: https://www.youtube.com/-2025.
We both felt that we wanted to create stories that hold wholesome values, and that are slower in pace, so that mums and dads could sit down with their children and read with them.
Helen initially wrote stories that happened to her from when she lived rurally in Herefordshire before moving to Pembrokeshire, which is where we met and hit it off immediately. In 2025 we decided to create the channel, with Helen's stories and me illustrating them.
It has been a steep learning curve trying to understand the technical side of it all but we gradually put it together then launched the channel with six stories.
It takes us roughly nine days to produce each one, this includes recording the narration, illustrations, music and sfx. We love the process and have decided to look for other storytellers who would like their work presented and put them on the channel. We prefer the stories to be around five minutes so that they fit the format of our platform.
Eventually, we would like all the stories to be translated in Welsh and have approached several funding agencies to help us realise our vision, so fingers crossed.
