It's again, so here's a lovely '62 strat which has been beautifully refinished in that classic Fiesta Red! This one is an early example of a veneer board, which has beautifully oxidised to that classic dark chocolate rosewood, and retains many of it's original features including the (uncracked) pickguard, shielding plate and trem. The original headstock decal was removed during the refin, and is included attached to the back of the trem cover plate!

Refins are an excellent way to get into the pre-CBS club, at a fraction of the price! Available now at ATB

Happy Flametop Friday everyone!

Here's some of the absolute crème de la crème of Gibson's custom shop- a pair of Collector's Choice series # 5- "Donna" and # 7- "Shanks". The Collector's Choice series, as many of you will know, represents about as thorough as it is possible to get when building 'Burst replicas- each one is laser scanned from the original guitar it is based off. Genuine 'Bursts can vary pretty widely from guitar to guitar, so capturing these nuances model by model is a true labour of love. They don't get much better than this.

Spot the difference! There's only a year between them, and they came out of the same factory, but they feel like totally different beasts!

Here we have a 1960 Gibson ES-330TD and a 1961 Epiphone Casino. Both fully hollow, double P90 equipped and arch top bodied, but very different identities. Possibly because the Epiphone was adopted by a little Liverpudlian four-piece known as "The Beatles", the Epiphone models seem to have not only spawned it's own thing aside from it's Gibson sibling, but in many ways left it's counterpart behind entirely in terms of popularity- with Gibson '330's never quite achieving the heavy hitting success of '335's or the Casinos.

Which one would you have?

An awesome pair of Mustang basses for you today- a 1971 Blue Sparkle, and '73 Competition Red. These Mustang basses (like their 6 string siblings) are shorter scale- but pack some serious punch. If you've never had the pleasure to play one, you might be shocked at how they perform- the shorter scale makes them easy to play (but not flappy) and the massive tones you can get from the deceptively meagre-looking pickups is pretty incredible. Plus, just look at how gorgeous those colours are! 😍

BLACKGUARD ALERT!! Fresh in: a truly superb 1952 Telecaster… because apparently two just wasn’t enough 😎

First year of the Telecaster name, and this one absolutely delivers everything you’d hope for from a proper full-fat Blackguard. Gorgeous soft V neck profile, beautifully aged patina throughout, and that unmistakable early-’50s Tele sound — plenty of twang, but with that extra midrange punch that makes these early examples so special.

Don't miss out on this one! Live now on our website.

Twin 1964 cherry red Gibson ES-335s, need we say more?

Both ordered with factory vibrato units — one Bigsby, one Maestro Vibrola. Very different styles of wiggle stick- but equally enjoyable. When you need that '335 thing, these will get you there!

You need more of this 1962 Gibson SG Special! Absolutely gorgeous. Wonderful condition, none of the oh-so-easy-to-do neck and heel breaks and she sounds just killer; if you don't know about dual P90's in an SG, find out- quickly!

Don't take it from me, take it from Pete Townsend, Carlos Santana, Frank Zappa, Robby Krieger and Tony Iommi- that's a hell of a resumé. Add your name to the list!

We still can't get over how absolutely awesome this 1958 Hardtail Strat is! Just look at that insane patina- decades of being baked in the Texas heat! This one blows us away every single time we pick it up- it truly is an incredible instrument. There's just something different about Hardtails that is really hard to explain if you've never played one; it's like an extra 5% strat-iness! The deeply carved but slim-V neck is supremely comfortable, and it's beautifully light- there just doesn't seem to be any downsides, does there?

Pure killer late-50's Fender magic, with heaping servings of pure mojo! ☀️🎸🔥

Why have one ridiculous guitar, when you could have 3?!

A trio of Flying V's for you today, and well... just look at them! Three different ways to get your 'V on, a 1969 Gibson Flying V (one of just 175 from '67 to '69!), a 1983 Gibson Heritage Reissue Korina V (the first run of Korina V's since the original 1950's ones) and last but not least, a 1983 Tokai FV-70, one of the infamous Japanese "lawsuit" models- guitars which have since become collectible in their own right!

Flying V's are without a doubt still one of the coolest, most out-there guitar designs. Strap one of these on and walk out on stage, and people know you mean serious business!

Here's a lovely old-refin '66 Strat, for another proprietary ATB Guitars 😂

This refinished 1966 Fender Stratocaster has aged into exactly the kind of look people have spent lifetimes trying to replicate — yellowed lacquer, real wear, and all the mojo you could want from a mid-60s Strat. Th Grey-bottom pickups are wonderdul, and combined with that big ol'headstock and olympic white paint, have more than a little of the Hendrix-y air to them 👀
