Another week, another Throw Down unboxing! 📦✨
This time I’m unwrapping my doggy bookends, inspired by the theme “What’s Your Ideal Day at the Beach?” 🐶🏖️
It was great to revisit this playful piece and all the little details that brought the idea to life. I hope you enjoy taking a closer look as much as I enjoyed making it!

It’s August already and I have a few taster sessions coming up at the studio.
10-12 and 2-4pm each day, visit my website to book your spot!
Come and enjoy a relaxed, creative introduction to the fundamentals of pottery. This friendly taster session is perfect for beginners or anyone curious about working with clay.
You’ll learn the basic techniques in a calm and supportive environment, with plenty of guidance along the way. There’s no pressure—just a chance to experiment, get a little messy, and discover your creativity.
We’ll keep things cosy with plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits, so you can settle in, unwind, and enjoy the experience.

Time to unpack another piece from my time on The Great Pottery Throw Down! 🏺✨
By popular vote, I’ll be unwrapping my Body in Motion sculpture. This piece definitely seemed to resonate with a lot of you, so it was really special to see it in the flesh again after all this time.

Two workshops coming up at the studio that I’m excited to be hosting - book your space by finding the course on my website shop:

🥣 Create Your Own Handmade Breakfast Set
25th - 26th July

Over two days, you’ll learn to throw a bowl and mug on the pottery wheel, then return to decorate your pieces with slips and underglazes, adding colour, character, and your own unique style.

🦏 Two-Day Ceramic Animal Sculpture Workshop
22nd - 23rd August

In this relaxed and creative environment, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of shaping, building, and adding character to your piece, with plenty of opportunity to explore your own style and ideas. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience with clay, this workshop is designed to be enjoyable, supportive, and accessible to all.
We’ll cover essential hand-building techniques, tips for capturing personality and form, and finishing touches to bring your sculpture to life.

Enjoy plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits throughout the course, with lunch included too.
