I’m delighted to be running an Animal Sculpture Workshop at Cup Ceramics in Hereford, where you’ll learn how to sculpt your chosen animal in clay, whether it’s a beloved pet, a farm animal, wildlife, or something a little more exotic.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities, and I’ll guide you through the process step-by-step in a relaxed and friendly environment. It’s a great opportunity to get creative, learn new skills, and spend a day immersed in clay.
Spaces are limited, so if you’ve been thinking about giving pottery a go, now is the perfect chance.

Today’s Throw Down unwrapping is my Gorilla and Child sculpture from Episode 4 of The Great Pottery Throw Down.
This remains one of my favourite pieces from my time on the show. I loved the challenge of capturing the bond and emotion between the two figures, and it was one of those projects that really stayed with me long after the making process was finished.
Seeing it again brings back so many great memories from the pottery and the experience itself. It’s always special to unwrap a piece and reconnect with the story behind it.

I thought I’d unwrap my tagine and braiser that I made on The Great Pottery Throw Down. It’s always exciting seeing these pieces again after so much time has passed. From the initial concept through to the finished forms, they were a real challenge to create and a great opportunity to explore both function and design.
