Been a while since my last post - I’ve been busy catching up on orders and doing my day job.
Feeling really emotional this afternoon
Today saw the last lesson of my year 11 art students as they go off timetable today for their exams. The past year has been The best experience of my working life all down to this crazy bunch .
Stepping in to help out for the past year with such an amazing bunch of students was such a privilege . Trying to Keep spirits and hope alive - having the meltdown emails from students needing guidance.
Seeing them grow in confidence and getting them to “trust the process “ was all worth it.
They gifted me today the best gift in my opinion of handmade cards which each signed with their appreciation- I didn’t cry( tears filled my eyes)! 😭 And some amazing earrings which I will wear with pride 🖼️
I will miss the job at this stage of students life- definitely found where my heart belongs in my teaching career ❤️ shame it isn’t for longer but grateful for the experience. Signing off class of 2026 -Art 1 🫶🏻
