Today I did something my anxiety told me I wouldn’t be able to do.

I was nervous, nauseous, had butterflies in my stomach, a headache that felt like my head might explode, and even that horrible tight, uncomfortable feeling in my chest. I seriously questioned whether I was ready for my karate grading and even wondered whether I should quit something I genuinely love.

But I turned up. I fought through the nerves, completely messed up right at the start and had to look to my instructor for help! 🫣😂 But I carried on and somehow came out the other side with my orange belt! 🧡🥋

I passed with 2nd class, and although I definitely have things I need to work on, I now know what I was doing wrong and what I need to improve for next time.

So today I'm celebrating! 🎉

Tomorrow I may need an anxiety crash recovery day... preferably involving the biggest bloody Disaronno I can pour! 🤣🤣

Sometimes you just have to do the thing that scares you. ❤️

Home after a lovely week away with my family… 🥰

Probably had a few too many ice creams while we were away! 🙈🍦😂

Just taken the family for potentially our last Beefeater breakfast. 😭

It’s one of the last places we could actually afford to eat out together as a family.

In a strange way, since my late sister was the one who first introduced us to Beefeater, it feels like losing one more connection to her. 😔❤️
