Unfortunately due to factors outside of our control we are selling up what stock is left and closing the website from the end of July.
Over 90% of our orders were generated through Facebook and Instagram ads which proved successful up until recently. Facebook have banned the OG Baits ad account since the end of 2022, after 6 months of disputing it and jumping through hoops we’ve got nowhere. I had big plans to expand the business this year by bringing out bulk boilie and pellet deals matching our current range and a competitions page. This however is not financially viable if we are unable to promote the business and without regular large orders the quality of bait could be compromised long term. This along with the increased rising costs of stock have unfortunately led to this decision.
I would like to take the opportunity to personally thank each and every customer old and new that has used our baits over the past two years. A lot of new friends and connections have been made through the business and up until recently it has been thoroughly enjoyable. The business started through a hobby, carp fishing has been a passion of mine from a very young age. I’ve learnt a hell of lot throughout the journey, however the carp fishing world is a very niche market to target. Moving forward it is to remain only a hobby and we’ll leave the bait making to the larger more established companies which we simply cannot compete with without a large investment or the ability to advertise.
Our website will remain open until the end of July so grab yourself a bargain with 50% off everything while stock lasts. As it stands we have around 25kg of hookbaits in both pop ups and wafters left, over 350 tubs and enough ingredients to make around 200 bottles of bait smoke. We will update the website accordingly. If any stock remains after this date we will selling it as bulk deal to the highest bidder.
