Ginneys Yarns

Ginneys Yarns Ginneys Yarns I have always been surrounded by flowers and colour as I was born into a market gardening family at Great Ayton in North Yorkshire.

Over the years I have grown many plants especially herbs, for cooking, making my own beauty products and also dried flower arrangements, drying my own flowers. This progressed to other ways of using plants and I studied Aromatherapy. Some time later I studied and continue to study Reiki, which in itself has nothing to do with plants but has helped me in other ways. I joined a Reiki group, which I

found beneficial. Each person in that group has left a positive effect on me. There I met Allison Emmerson and over six months or more, she talked me into doing a natural dye and herb workshop. (See www.angelsandroses.co.uk for courses and workshops on offer from Alli and others at the Healing Shack) At this point I thought I had better do something about dyeing as I had done a minuscule amount and taught myself about dyeing with the help of a few books. About a year later a mutual friend, Wendy Richardson, was opening a craft shop in Great Ayton and decided I would I like to sell my knitwear through her. She produces crystal jewellery. Her work can be seen at www. roseberryhealingcrystals.co.uk

A lot has happened over the last 3 or 4 months that have prevented me doing my crafts. Things are now settling and I hope to be at Stokesley Town Hall on the 5th October.

Fingers crossed x

It's Stokesley Town Hall today. Plenty of hand dyed knitwear and hand felted scarves. It'd be great to see you xx

I've just been reading back through everything that I've posted over the years. I hadn't realised how things change and evolve. It's been a fascinating 12 years.
One thing that has stood out is the people who have come to my stall at Stokesley Town Hall over the years, many of you have become friends, as have other crafters.
Over the years I have advised and helped others who couldn't do or were having difficulty with their work, chatted about how I achieved this or that with my work, but it never fails to humble me that folk want to buy what I'm producing. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart. Thanks again for being on this journey with me xx

What a wonderful day we've had. There wasn't a great deal to pack up. Thank you everyone, it means a lot.

There just isn't enough time in the day at the moment. We've recently moved and I'm still trying to get put straight..you'll know what I mean, boxes all over the place.
I'm still in shock at the amount of things we had. The only good side of this is the charity shops have done well with donations and I found a heap of crafting materials that I'd forgotten about!!
So dear friends I haven't forgotten about you all, it's just that I'm a tad busy. Love'n'hugs xx
