A few snapshots of the recently completed watercolour botanicals short course run at Mantis Art
We've had some beautiful outcomes, and had a lot of fun along the way! We painted herbs, tulips, and peonies, looked at plant structure, colour mixing, and painting techniques to achieve different textures.

Went to see 's stunning private view for the last night, and oh my goodness, she has transformed this tiny patio garden into a wonderland! My dream is for my garden to look like this one day 😍😍
Also, Katie told me about her exciting new venture, Graze & Glaze, for all your luxury picnicking needs - special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, PROPOSALS. Imagine arriving to a beautifully set up picnic, creating a totally unique piece of Art to mark the occasion, and then getting to go home without any clearing up 😂 sign me up.
I HIGHLY recommend going to see Katie's work this year. There are 2 other artists at the same venue who also floored me with their work. Love love love. It's right in the centre of town, so it's easy to get to as well 👍

If you're walking by the shop, I have a new system for checking out which classes are coming up soon. This week we have kids' and teen pencil case decorating on Thursday, life drawing on Friday, and macrame on Saturday.

If you've been by the shop recently, you've probably seen the chaos it's been caught up in... After a year of being open, I thought the shop was due a bit of tlc, and so have been touching bits up here and there. Most excitingly, my floor is now the colour I wanted it to be a year ago 🤣 still needs another coat in a few places, but I wanted to open up for browsing today, so don't look too closely haha
I've also changed over the exhibition, which I'll be posting about soon 🩷
