At Gavin's Mill we'll soon be hosting a visual storytelling performance by Kinglsey Ukpan.

Kingsley Osenele Ukpan is a Milngavie‑based artist whose work blends performance in poetry, theatre, and visual storytelling to explore myth, memory, and the resilience found in everyday lives.
Originally from Nigeria and now rooted in Scotland, he creates work that bridges personal and communal histories.

Performing "A Staggering Shadow" this story follows Ono, a repentant criminal confronting the weight of his past and the fragile hope of renewal. This monologue weaves rhythmic confession with emotional depth, inviting audiences into a reflective journey about harm, healing, and the courage to reclaim one’s story.
