So, at long last, after 55 years, I have got a working altar.
The urns contain the ashes of the cats & kittens whi came too late to my cat sanctuary to be saved, amd they represent the Ether or Spirit.
You will see in the top right hand of the picture, part of a hand fan, this is to represent air.
Incense sticks represent fire.
The plant represents earth & water.
Remember, it doesn't matter if your altar is big or small, if it's crammed or spaced, brightly coloured or dark, represents the elements or not.
With an altar go with what feels right for you.
The only reason I now at long last have an altar is
1. It feels right
2. Due to Chloe the hound having to be kept separate from my cats, no cats can destroy it!!!
If you're looking to start your own altar, at Nature's Elements Witchery I stock altar cloths, crystal balls, tarot cards, oracle cards, cauldrons, Smudge sticks, charcoal discs, altar brushes, spell candles, candle snuffers, notebooks, incense, incense holders and much much more, and most of it won't break your bank, as I try my best to make the practice accessible to everyone.
The shop is hidden away in a far corner or the tip floor of Albert Mill, Newhey Road, Milnrow, OL16 4EG, carpark available at the side. ( LIFT AVAILABLE)
It is open Thursdays 11am til 4pm, Fridays 11am til 4pm and Saturdays 10am til 4pm.
