The v**e tax is coming, but here's what's NOT changing. 💜

There's been a lot of talk about the new Va**ng Products Duty, so we wanted to take the calm view for a moment and remind everyone what stays exactly the same.

First things first: the duty only touches the liquid. So a lot of what you already know carries on just as before.

Your hardware is fine. Devices, coils, tanks and empty pods aren't taxed, so your kit isn't affected. Refilling works exactly as it does now, nothing to relearn. Our service doesn't change either, same friendly faces, same honest advice, same welcome on the stall. And we'll keep explaining the changes in plain English, whenever you want to ask.

It's one change, not a whole new world. A single duty on liquid, and we're here to help you through it.

No ID, no sale. Here's why that matters to us. 💜

Va**ng is for adults, full stop. Our products are strictly for over-18s, and we take that seriously as a responsible retailer.

Here's how it works in store. We operate Challenge 25, so if you look under 25 we'll politely ask for ID. It's nothing personal. A valid passport, driving licence or PASS card does the job nicely. No proof of age means no sale, every time, no exceptions.

Why? Because it keeps age-restricted products away from anyone under 18, which is exactly where the line should be.

So please don't be offended if we ask. Being asked for ID is a good sign you're shopping somewhere responsible.

The v**e tax, part two: what it actually means for you. 💜

Last time we covered the basics of the new Va**ng Products Duty. Here's how it affects different setups.

The key thing to understand is that the duty is based on volume. It's charged per ml of liquid, so the more liquid a product holds, the more duty it carries.

That means it works out differently depending on what you use. Bigger bottles and larger shortfills hold more liquid, so they carry the most duty in cash terms. A small prefilled pod holds very little, so it's affected the least.

A couple of helpful pointers: stop comparing products by shelf price alone and start looking at the total ml you actually use. And remember hardware isn't taxed, so refillable kits give you more control.
