🌿 Our Peace Lilies have a new home!

We’ve moved the Peace Lilies into our Alien Hydroponics RDWC system, where the plants grow directly in water while the nutrient solution is continuously recirculated around the system. 💧🌱

RDWC (Recirculating Deep Water Culture) supplies the roots with water, nutrients and plenty of oxygen, creating an ideal environment for hydroponic growth.

Our August Bank Holiday 2026 shop opening times are as follows:

☀️ Sat 29th August: Open 9am - 5pm
☀️ Sun 30th August: Open 10am - 3pm
❌ Mon 31st August: Closed
☀️ Tues 1st September: Open 9am - 5.30pm

We are only closed on Monday over the Bank Holiday, so feel free to pop down over the rest of the weekend!

Our Maruga Scorpion plants are thriving in the grow room! 🌱🌶️

Those deep, dark green leaves are a great sign of vigorous growth and strong chlorophyll production. The plants are looking healthy, well-fed, and ready for the next stage.

Now we’re watching for strong branching, healthy new growth, and plenty of flowers as they start putting their energy into producing those seriously hot Maruga Scorpion pods. 🔥🌶️

Sometimes, growing vegetables becomes about much more than the vegetables. 🥬
Our friend Tania has been going through an incredibly difficult time, so we wanted to give her something small to focus on.

Something to nurture.

Something to watch grow.

Something that might give her a reason to step outside and enjoy a few quiet moments.

So we gave her a Vegepod.

What happened next has been lovely to watch.

From the first seedlings… to growing plants… to harvesting vegetables and eventually creating meals from what she had grown herself.

Every photograph Tania has sent us has shown another little bit of progress.

And it reminded us of something:

Sometimes the best thing you get from growing your own vegetables isn't what you harvest.

Sometimes it's the routine.
The fresh air.
The little milestones.
The quiet moments.
And simply having something positive to nurture.
