Spar Colvin Filling station Fuel garage with shop selling essentials We are excited and looking forward to work with local community and businesses.

SPAR convenience brand is owned and managed by member retailers of which quite a lot of them are independent and family owned stores. We are an independent family run store selling fuel and retail products from Colvin filling station which has been a big part of the Moffat community. Originally built as a diary selling milk and Milk products in early 20th century, later transformed in to a petrol station, than a video rental place and now SPAR store.

A small note to say a big thank you for all your support over last four years. As some of you are aware we are moving on, your local garage has got a new steward now. With the changes in the industry, we felt someone with fresh set of eyes can take the garage and improve it. ZK Petrolium who operates few forecourts in Edinburgh has got the garage and they will be running it going forward. We have ensured that staff will be moved over to the new organisation and the sponsorships we do in the town are taken care too!! Looking back, it was certainly a great sense of satisfaction bringing the much loved garage back to glory and able to make so many friends in the town. Also seen so many changes in the industry the big one being Freddo price rise from 20p to 35p🙂.

Your support over the years gave us confidence, encouragement to do some thing we are passionate about. Thanks again for all your support and we wish success for the new operators!!🙏. I am still moping the floors so don’t be alarmed if you see me hanging about!!!
