Finally sewed all the 2.5" squares into 10" panels, into rows, and then sewed the rows together. Took way longer than expected because I had a self-pity party in the middle of it all and didn't sew for several days.
I shook it off, finished the pattern, and now awaiting delivery of the border (pansy) and backing (sunburst berrylicious) before quilting and binding. Phew!!!
Perseverance, Eh?
What do you think? Was she worth the wait?

WIP: Sometimes it's good to look at your work in a different way, a sanity check to see if it's going in the direction you wanted. By switching to black and white, you can see the positioning of light, mid, and dark fabrics. A good mix of all 3 make for an appealing quilt. How do you think it's going here? Is there a specific area where I didn't get the mix quite right?

Finally I can reveal this spring-time lap quilt that I made for my lovely MIL Betty Jardine. Happy birthday Betty!
Really enjoyed making this, the fabrics are full of flowers and insects - no birds!

I started a quilting course with Sarah Payne, well, it's more of a Thursday evening party, this week. And I need to finish the top of a pinwheel quilt by next Thursday. Think I'm doing OK! I decided to go bold, so expect to see more fuschia pink, and some other bold choices!
