Earlier this year we were thrilled to find two new ceramicists whose pottery we loved, we now have their work for sale at 17 Reasons.
Last week we featured Lorna Gilbert and today it's the turn of Jo Williams from New Brighton on the Wirral.
Here is a little from Jo:
"I currently make contemporary functional decorative ceramics using white, grogged earthenware clay. Most of my work is made on the potters wheel, then the outer surface is scuffed to create a velvety texture, then oxides are applied before firing"

Jo was so patient with us at her stand as we shuffled her pieces around in order to put together a cohesive collection, it was all so beautiful we could have spent a fortune! 😉

Hello Monday,

Back in March we met lovely lady and we're happy to say our order arrived from her recently. This is a small snapshot of what we have but also available in store are cups and mugs, jugs, sugar bowls and small vases with prices starting from £14.

A few words from Lorna:
"I’m trained in fine art, experimental textiles, floristry and ceramics. For over twenty years, I have been potting from my garden studio in Yorkshire, moving with the rhythms and seasons of family life. Every unique piece starts life from a place of love, imbued with the joy and calm I find at my potter’s wheel.
Clay is earth and water, and my ceramics pull you full circle. The space and beauty of the horizon is the thread running through each handcrafted piece. Hello Friday!

An order arrived this week with a couple of new products from Louise, owner of .
Shown here are three A4 prints from our range and cards which are new for us , we also have adorable little notelet sets too, 4 of the same design per pack. Bookmarks and badges are available as well 🙂 We absolutely love Louise's art style, her work has been popular today, lots of the cards have gone to new homes already!

Hello Monday!

We're delighted to be stocking two products from Lancashire based small business : Goats Milk Bath Soak & Skin Scrub and Fragrance Oil Soy Wax Candles in 7 scents.
We met Jack Mills back in March and learned that he co founded Herd & Elder with his wife Claire Mills of whose bamboo earrings we featured the other day. It all began with a patch of neglected land which they lovingly regenerated with the help of pigs and chickens, their intention to grow, rear and make their own food and products. The goats arrived in 2019 and they now happily graze the once unused hillside field producing their nutrient rich milk for the Herd & Elder skincare range.
Goats milk is both gentle and nourishing, perfect for a soak in the bath, we have three fragrances of bath soak in two sizes and do pop in to sniff the candle scents, they're absolutely gorgeous! 🙂👏

In a little over 3 weeks it'll be Father's Day.
Our range of solid colognes from the Solid Cologne Project in Aberdeen has expanded and we now have 4 new fragrances, we're offering 2 tins for £30 until Saturday the 20th of June.
Haven, Arabic Oud and Granite are unisex scents.
