I am looking forward to this weekends vintage events. You can find me over the arches in Bridge of Allan, Stirling for the vintage and antiques fair on Saturday 26th September and then at Balgove Larder near St Andrews on Sunday 27th September for the vintage car boot with a hand selected gathering of vintage sellers.

I have some new offerings of warming copper and metals including these fabulous candle sconces which would look amazing by a bathroom mirror perhaps or either side of the fireplace.
I have some great ceramics for some autumnal styling and this large painted candle box which is perfect to store all manner of things.

Such an amazing vintage day trading at this wonderful event. Thank you to all the customers who stopped by for a chat, browsed and bought from my little stall. A massive thank you to Jules and Lyn for a well organised and super friendly event. Thank you also to Grace for amazing bakes and keeping us fed and watered.

This month has already been a super busy month but I have been keeping some beautiful vintage pieces aside for this weekends autumn fayre run by Lyn and Jules . There will be an amazing variety of wonderful vintage traders at Strathmiglo village hall. I have two of the plumpest feather eiderdowns to share with you, some gorgeous earth toned ceramics alongside some warming tones of wood and copper.

12th September in Broughty Ferry, add this date to your calendar in this brand new venue

We’re delighted to announce that the next Broughty Ferry Antiques, Vintage & Collectors Fair will take place at our new venue, the Scout Hall on David Street, right in the heart of Broughty Ferry.

Just a short wander from the shops, cafés and waterfront, it puts us back where we belong in the centre of the Ferry, and ready for a proper Saturday treasure hunt.

Expect a brilliant mix of antiques, vintage, collectables, interiors, jewellery, ceramics, artwork, curiosities and plenty of things you didn’t know you needed until you spotted them.

Three months ago I set myself a simple goal to reach 1000 sales through my Etsy shop by the end of July.
The target wasn’t huge or unrealistic, just one sale a day. Today, I reached this milestone and delighted to say I have reached 1000 sales!
One of my favourite parts of running this business is hearing the stories behind the vintage and antique items people buy and where they end up.

Looking back, I have learnt so much along the way. My photography has improved since those very first listings.
My first sale took about three months and I had stopped checking the Etsy app and didn’t have any notifications set up. It was only after a message from the buyer was I prompted into action!
I have discovered just how important good packaging is. The last thing after sourcing, cleaning, listing and finally selling do you want the lovely item to get damaged.
I am still surprisingly rubbish at listing with enough delivery costs for the item. Despite knowing my exact costs inside out!

What has stood out most though are the customers 🤍I love receiving your messages, hearing your stories and seeing your photo reviews. I’ve been lucky, apart from one or two hiccups, the overwhelming majority of customers are kind, honest and a genuine pleasure to sell to.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my little vintage homeware business. Whether you have bought an item, favourited or liked an item or simply followed along.

So what’s next?

September is looking slightly busy with 6 vintage fairs booked. Plenty of sourcing to do and a few exciting things in the pipeline.

I have a lovely floral collection of vintage which will be at my next vintage fayre in Strathmiglo on Sunday 21st June.
I have been sanding, scrubbing, painting, and cleaning this week to bring this collection for you. I do hope you love them as much as I do. I always try to buy what I love, let me know if you love them too in the comments.
I have painted this lovely plate rack in F&B Templeton Pink and is perfect for your favourite plates. I was lucky to find this barbola mirror and have given these sweet little shoe trees a makeover too!
The flowers picked straight from the garden to complement the look.
