Finished this commission for a very special lady on her 80th birthday . Really enjoyed the process and trying different techniques, I did mean to document the making process but I got so absorbed I forget! Next time...

Excited and slightly nervous to be starting a new commission for a very good friend. Loving the beachy silk colours and the aqua organza I've sourced and can't wait to get hand stitching with those beautiful threads

Finally decided on a new name for my restarted tiny textile art business.
Having last year achieved a life long dream of moving to stunning Northumberland, where my family roots are, I've been so inspired by the beautiful, ever changing coastline, the vibrant flora and fauna, the interesting wildlife and the friendly and welcoming people I've met.
Floral shores seemed the perfect name to combine my love of flowers with my love of the coast, and especially those hardy plants who grow along our shorelines.

My new work is mainly hand embroidery depicting the flowers and landscapes I love and I've started a new range of mini hoop decorations and necklaces as well as taking on commissions to replicate special photograph in stitches and mixed media.
I'm going to try to be much better at social media and post more about my designs, inspirations and discoveries.
