Today I want to share a little story that really touched my heart. ❤️

A lovely lady messaged me about having some memorial jewellery made with her mum’s ashes for her daughter’s wedding. She had already been given a quote elsewhere and, when she told me the price, oh my goodness… I honestly couldn’t believe it. My heart broke a little for her because, at such an emotional time, people should be able to have something beautiful and meaningful made without feeling like they are being ripped off.

We spent time working together to find the perfect colours and designs for her special pieces, making sure everything was just right and exactly how she imagined.

She brought her mum to me in her urn and beautiful wooden memory box. When the time came to prepare the ashes, she simply couldn’t bring herself to take them out herself, so I gently and respectfully did this for her. ❤️

From the very first message to the finished jewellery, I wanted her to feel supported, listened to and completely comfortable. Creating memorial jewellery is so much more than simply making a piece of jewellery. These ashes belong to someone deeply loved, and I never forget the trust that is being placed in my hands.

I was able to give her a fair and honest price and, most importantly, she absolutely loves what I created for her. 🥹❤️

I also had a little of her mum’s ashes left over, so I decided to make both Angela and Hayley a special keyring too. Just a little extra keepsake for them to have and treasure. ❤️

And as if that wasn’t lovely enough, Angela turned up with a great big bar of Aero chocolate for me as a thank you! 🥹🍫 Honestly, the kindness of my customers means so much to me.

Knowing that her mum will now be with her family on such a special day as her daughter’s wedding is something truly precious.

From start to finish, I hope Angela and Hayley felt that their mum was treated with the love, care and respect she deserved. ❤️

This is why I do what I do.

Every piece is made with love, care and respect, because these aren’t just ashes… they are someone’s mum, dad, child, partner or loved one.
