This has been my first week back after my holiday and what a weeks it’s been! The website particularly seems to have found a whole new audience, I wish I knew how these things work! Anyway, super grateful for a great week after the summer lull and back to it with new stock including this utterly gorgeous French, solid oak knockdown armoire. The mirrors are bevelled and aged to perfection with beautiful foxing and patina. Check it out in the shop or website, feel free to ask any questions. The shop is open from Tuesday to Saturday 10-4. I’ve just recently listed this mirror on the website but it’s not the easiest item to photograph! It does have a little bit of age and patina to the mirror and it is large at almost a metre and a half high. I’ll be in the shop tomorrow and Saturday 10-5 if you want to take a look.

I hope you’re all gearing up and making plans for the bank holiday weekend! Just another quick reminder that the shop is closed until Tuesday as I’m on holiday but the website is open and I’m available if you have any queries, just drop me a message. I’m heading off today to an antique shop that I visit every time I’m on the Yorkshire coast to see if I can buy anything! In all my visits everything I’ve ever picked up to buy and it’s a lot of items, isn’t for sale 😂. I’ve never managed to buy a single thing! When they say antique dealers are professional hoarders, in this case it’s absolutely true! Anyway, I’m not the hoarder type of dealer as I need to earn a pound or two to live so I’m using the power of instagram to sell this cute apple green cabinet which can be found in my shop or website. Beautiful painted drawers in a deep olive green, original brass cup handles and a bonus drawer in the plinth. This colour is so versatile it works as a perfect neutral, I’ll definitely be using it again when I get back to painting next week! This pretty little cabinet is still available! I’m reducing a couple of items that have been in the shop for a while and this is first up. Definitely my favourite purchase in a long time! This gorgeous late Victorian desk / table is beautifully proportioned and whilst the paint is not original to the piece it definitely has age and the perfect amount of wear and patina. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous…….i think it’s quite obvious that I love this table!!

Two gorgeous fireside chairs have arrived in the shop this week. Both have solid elm seats and they’re both of very similar proportions and style although obviously different colours! The darker one has an oak frame and the lighter one is beech. They’re both also available on the website.
