Most of our books are in English, but we seek out titles in Gaelic, Scots & more! We are a small well stocked shop offering a friendly, first class service to a diverse range of customers. Whether you are local or a visitor to Nairn please come in and see for yourself what we have to offer. You will find us at the top of The Brae. We do not have room for every title published but we are happy to order books (whether in print or not) and delivery usually takes one or two days. Orders may be made at the shop, by telephone or by email. If you are not sure of a title just ask us and we will do the necessary research.

Thank you once again Gardners for the annual Trade Fair on the fair isle of Hinckley! 🎉

Here a few books from the event - which is just a selection of the amazing titles I learnt are on their way 🔥😍

I know I'll get told off (by both), but the beautiful array of books from both Thames & Hudson and TASCHEN blew me away, as ever: I wish I had a bigger shop! (Thanks to their wonderufl reps, too: you so love your books, and it shows!)

(If any of our customers who love art books want to order something in - please ask! I know a lot about their catalogues, and we can o/c order in any book you desire, so long as it's in print 😘)

I started reading THE NEW DARK AGES at the BA conference - an excellent read. And was excited to see Taj Ali's book, as well as BLACK LIVES IN SCOTLAND amongst many other brilliant titles.... some of these will be in the shop in soon; others aren't out till later this year or 2027, so hold your horses! 🐎🦄

REMEMBER: Yes we curate the books in the bookshop, but we ALSO know of a whole host more amazing books we don't have room for: ASK A BOOKSELLER for a recommendation (or ten) - ftw! ❤️👏
