Linda was ahead of the Book Prize longlisters with her enjoyment of Strout's most recent 😘 and I thoroughly enjoyed this new Uist-set crime novel, LOVED Animal Spiral (bonkers, brilliant speculative fiction with added cats 🐆), am finally getting started on BRODIE (a book group hit), and can thoroughly recommend Exit Party due out next month 💯⭐

Phew. Now the nightmare of catastrophic internet and phone failure is at least partly resolved (we'll provide a new phone number just as soon as we get that part sorted!), we can celebrate the visit of LOVELY author Gillian Shirreffs earlier this week (when she signed copies of her wonderful BRODIE novel and moving and innovative ELEPHANT memoir-of-sorts for us) 🥳😍

BRODIE was a *huge* hit with our Book Group - written as it is from the perspective of a book, and of course with its Miss Jean Brodie pedigree!
