I was always creative as a child and I was often found sitting in a field sketching flowers and nature on the family farm in the Shropshire countryside. Following my heart led me to achieve a 1st Class Honours in Surface Pattern Design at University, followed by a successful career as a Visual Merchandising Manager at John Lewis. As a manager I missed being creative so I began a leisure course in

floristry and I loved it! I replaced my pencils and sketchbook with flowers, I wanted to be surrounded by nature once again. My passion lies in the skilled art of showcasing some of the most beautiful gifts of nature, appreciated by those who see them not only for their beauty, but also their power to evoke emotion for a special occasion. I enjoy helping my couples like Donna & Tim who married at Iscoyd Park. When Donna attended her complimentary consultation she wasn’t sure about her flower choices but she knew they wanted a romantic ambiance with a touch of country glamour. Getting to know you is the secret ingredient to creating luxurious florals by weaving your love story and personality into the heart of your stylish floral creations.

…..here’s what Tim had to say;

‘Jacqui is such an amazing and talented florist who we have been lucky enough to have create our wedding flowers this weekend! Wow, just wow; everything we imagined and then so much more - thank you for helping us make this weekend so much more special than we could ever have hoped for. Myself and Donna loved and admired all your work, but everyone commented on them all day which speaks volumes as to the style and quality of your work. Would highly recommend Jacqui’s work to anyone and to top it all she is such a lovely, down to earth lady - thank you again from the new Mr & Mrs Whitehall’

whilst Donna added;

‘I was absolutely blown away by my bridal bouquet which she was able to create from understanding my likes/dislikes, getting to know me and my personality, taking the time to get to know us as a couple and our vibe, believing in and nurturing our vision; and then whacking it up by x1000 and producing something spectacular!’

I want you to be floral confident and when you appoint me you hand all of the worry, planning and guesswork for your floral designs to me and I take ownership from there. You will have a wedding day filled with a joyous atmosphere and ‘wow’ moments that delight you and your guests. This is going to be the best day of your lives with memories to treasure forever.

This past Sunday at the historic Crewe Hall, we had the absolute pleasure of bringing Nona and Chris’s incredibly unique wedding vision to life.

With an intimate guest list of 29 of their favourite people, many of whom had never experienced a traditional English wedding, the couple wanted an unforgettable, immersive experience. The brief? Capture the romantic, untamed essence of Nona’s favourite book and film, Pride and Prejudice.

To achieve this, we focused heavily on a sensory experience, designing around a philosophy of "abundance with scent."

We transformed the chapel with a full altar installation and lush aisle markers. Every element was strategically placed to fill the space with natural fragrance, enveloping the couple and their guests in scent as they walked down the aisle.

To deliver the scale and specific aesthetic required, we utilised our signature 'Best of Both' collection. This sustainable, hybrid sourcing model allowed us to strike the perfect balance between the wild English countryside and refined, ethical romance:

90% Locally Grown & Sourced: A wildly romantic blend of aromatic, whimsical Nepeta, satiny Malope, statuesque Larkspur, lace like clouds of Ammi, and velvety Snapdragons, all handpicked by our incredible partner Carol's Garden just 8 miles away from our studio.

Premium, Certified Imports: The breathtaking focal points featured the muted, vintage tones of 'Faith' roses from Farm Direct Flowers (certified by Flor Ecuador for strict environmental and labour standards) alongside the deep, moody romance of 'Montmartre' roses from Tambuzi Garden Roses (a proud Certified B Corp and carbon-neutral farm).

Congratulations to Nona and Chris on a truly spectacular, soulful day. It was a joy to take this creative journey with you!

Huge congratulations to Amy & Andy, who tied the knot tied the the knot today at The Crown Hotel, Bar & Grill. They celebrated their love in a beautifully intimate gathering surrounded by 10 of their closest favorite people.

For their personal flowers, they chose our vibrant ‘Bee Friendly’ collection. The gorgeous floral palette featured sunny sunflowers, rudbeckia, and bright blue cornflowers all locally grown just down the road at Tern Hill in Shropshire.

Afterwards, the newlyweds enjoyed a dinner set for their guests. We styled their intimate reception with handmade upcycled silver mirror balls, gold olive branches, elegant gold charger plates, and custom pear-leaf place names, all softly lit by LED candles. We then left the happy couple to dance the night away under the glow of the disco balls!

Wishing Amy & Andy a lifetime of love and happiness!

Most of you know me for my weddings, but I’m also here for those searching for something a little different for farewell flowers. When families want to celebrate a loved one who was a keen gardener, loved nature, or was a true flower lover with sustainability at heart they know they can come to me.

I always say I offer a truly personal service and my lovely long-term clients always find the best ways to put that to the test!

Lindsey Davies and her mum have been trusting me with their special occasions for years. So when Lindsey asked, "Can you do a narrowboat for my Uncle's farewell?" I naturally said yes... before immediately thinking, how on earth am I going to pull this off as sustainably as possible without using floral foam?! Alongside this custom narrowboat tribute, I also created a stunning 6ft long rose casket spray with 250 avalanche roses.

It was a brilliant creative challenge, but being able to give someone such a unique, personal, and ethical send-off makes every second of the planning worth it.

Thank you, Lindsey, for always trusting me, and taking me out of my comfort zone!

A true "pinch-me" design moment!

Last month, I had the incredible honour of designing the bespoke tablescape and floral styling for Bentley Motors' Ladies Eid Event.

I was tasked with curating the dining experience for a groundbreaking moment in British automotive history: an intentional, luxurious celebration of trailblazing Muslim women. Seeing the recap from the wonderful host, Abigayle André (The Lady Who Talks Cars), really drove home just how monumental this day was.
Working from an initial moodboard, my goal was to translate Bentley’s renowned standard of bespoke craftsmanship directly to the table. Bringing this vision to life, right from my Nantwich studio to the beautiful setting at The Mews, was an absolute dream.

Here is a look at the design details:
♦️ The Florals: A striking blend of bold red anthuriums, deep aubergine calla lilies, and soft pink chrysanthemums.
♦️ The Atmosphere: Large, beautifully scented moon-shaped Ramadan candles served as fragrant focal pieces.
♦️ The Styling: Rich silk grapes on gold leaf platters, paired with textured rattan chargers and monogrammed napkins to fuse opulence with organic textures.
♦️ The Takeaway: Bespoke mini floral arrangements as favour gifts for each guest to take home.

A huge thank you to Mandy for the recommendation, and to Emma for trusting my vision to help bring this milestone to life!

Yesterday, the wonderful Tracey and Phil gathered their closest friends and family for a beautifully personal, intimate wedding ceremony in Crewe.

For their design, they chose a timeless ivory and breathtaking blue palette from our ‘Best of Both’ collection. Every element was meticulously curated, featuring a bespoke bridal bouquet, three refined buttonholes, and two elegant corsages.

We are incredibly proud to share that 90% of these exquisite stems were nurtured and grown just 12 miles from our studio, a true reflection of our commitment to sustainable luxury and the inherent beauty of our local landscape.

Their floral story was woven together with ruffled peonies from Lincolnshire, delicate Cheshire nigella and spirea, and vivid Shropshire cornflowers, all elegantly paired with striking electric blue delphiniums from Holland. It was a deeply sensory, soulful blend for a truly unforgettable day.

Wishing Tracey and Phil a lifetime of happiness together.

Recently, at a Sustainable Wedding Alliance event, I had the pleasure of connecting with the team behind the incredible Artemis Wedding Venue. We found ourselves completely aligned on a beautiful truth: a wedding day can be deeply responsible, kind to the planet, and still look absolutely, breathtakingly luxurious.

As a preferred supplier at Combermere Abbey, they kindly invited me to share my insights as a guest author for their website. My feature article, 'The Art of the Considered Floral Celebration,' is now live!

Inside, I dive into the beauty of "Grown, Not Flown" seasonal stems, the environmental impact of unseen details like floral foam, and why investing in professional stewardship is the ultimate gift of time and calm on your wedding morning.

Thank you, Artemis, for your beautiful words and your ongoing commitment to inspiring couples. It is an absolute joy to be a trusted part of your heritage spaces.

The garden meadow casket spray remains one of my most cherished tributes to compose. It is a signature choice for my clients, offering a seamless blend of wild elegance and intentional design. This specific installation celebrates the legacy of a devoted gardener who spent her life cultivating irises and roses.

In honour of that connection to the land, this design is strictly plastic-free. Artfully constructed upon a hand-woven willow frame using an Oshun pouch, the entire biodegradable foundation is designed to return gracefully to the earth.

The floral palette features rosemary for remembrance, paired with exquisite sweet avalanche roses, scented stocks, pittosporum, and delicate asparagus fern, while limonium provides a sophisticated depth of texture.

When a client asked me to breathe new life into her Christmas wreath (yes, it was still going!), I saw the potential immediately. This hand-mossed frame has been stripped back, rehydrated, the winter foliage composted, and the decorations cleaned to be used again.

It has been layered anew, trading deep evergreens for the fragrant movement of eucalyptus and rosemary, paired with pittosporum and limonium in shades of yellow and purple. The final touches of delicate quail eggs and guineafowl feathers bring that essential touch of spring.

I’ll admit I was so caught up in the artistry that I missed the "before" shot, but the result speaks entirely for itself. A wreath isn't just for a Christmas; it’s a canvas for constant reimagining.

Wishing a beautiful and Happy Easter!

At the Heart of the Mark-Making

My latest article for Thursd is live! I’m diving deep into the magical intersection of fine art and floristry.

I explore how the delicate "whiskers" on an Alstroemeria petal mirror the ink strokes of a sketch, and how we can use texture, line, and rhythm to bring a drawing to life through flowers. From Parisian street scenes to the architectural "As the Crow Flies" design, see how this versatile bloom becomes a medium for storytelling.

A huge thank you to MissAlstroemeria for the beautiful, sustainable varieties that made these designs possible.
