It’s been another fantastic week for us at Clayways!💚

We’ve been super busy behind the scenes loading and unloading the kiln to make sure all of our wonderful members have their pieces!☕️

The kilns blessed our eyes with some stunning pieces too this week! The first slide features some of Jess’ latest pots! How stunning is that pink!😍🩷

Our beautiful owner, Tracy, painting one of her signature sheep 🐑

Clayways Away Day!💙💚

We had an amazing time at Valentine Clays today, learning about glazing, getting a factory tour and even getting to try out some of the NEW glazes which Valentine are releasing in collaboration with Milton Bridge 🥹 we also got a closer look at the Studioline Glazes - which we loved 😍 This workshop was also hosted in the wonderful LoveClay studio, based at Valentine Clay!💚

These glazes are designed to be used on low firing clays, specific Valentine Clay’s range of LoStone low firing stoneware clay bodies. We got to glaze a pot and both the clay body and glazes were like a dream to work with!🥹

We also had a fantastic talk from David at Milton Bridge and Bon at Bonnie Whiteman all
about creating the glazes and their experiences in the world of ceramics!

We had so much fun and can’t wait to get our pots into the kiln and see how they turn out!🌟

It was a busy week at the studio - lots of kiln firings for our lovely members, so many pots thrown and lots of laughs shared too!💙

The wonderful Charlotte came in for her session and threw so many wonderful pots! As well as collecting her huge strawberry and lemon vases! 🍓🍋 how amazing are they! 👏🏼

We absolutely love making these little Forever Notes ❤️

These special keepsakes were created as gifts for a wonderful group of bridesmaids.

It’s so lovely to receive positive reviews but it’s even better to watch students growing in both ability and confidence and able to throw stunning pots on the wheel!

Our evening throwing courses are full until July (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6:30 - 8:30) but we have day time sessions available.

The Six week course is just £245 giving you 2 hours every week focused on your skills, your style and you can try different styles to see what works best for you.
